There is no better way to get to know ourselves a little better and know what we are made of than by facing a challenge and this Sunday I had the joy of completing two!
Hello #weekendexperience friends, once again I'm here to tell you about my weekend of achievements, especially on Sunday when I was able to finish the #retodeorganizacion (content creation for a continuous month) and my first course at Platzi!
Although in Venezuela it's still 30/10 for #Hive it's already 31, which means I survived one more month to the #retodecreaciondecontenido in its second edition now called #retodeorganizacion by its creator . So my weekend was full of excitement because it would end at last, a month of hard work.
For this second edition we incorporated new Hivers that came to join perfectly to our crazy Telegram group that has already been created three months ago and although not everyone participates regularly, those of us who do life on a daily basis already feel like family.
We know the routines, jobs, outings, family and even pets of those who live in it! Particularly in my case this group has come to replace the interaction that I could not get by Discord due to my Internet problems, so I am grateful to the initiative of Antonieta because thanks to her I managed to connect with wonderful people that I hope will remain in my life for a long time.
For the beginning of the second edition I was prepared with three topics ready and programmed to publish the first days and with the agenda of my whole month, which I ended up modifying in order not to lose the habit and to please a little bit my indecisive self.
I must say that despite the planning this time the challenge was much heavier, since in the month of August when we did the first one, my children were on vacation, both from school and from their extracurricular activities, which was a great advantage.
But this second round of the challenge coincided with the start of classes and my children's daily routines (ballet, music lessons and chess) so it was definitely much harder to create content on a daily basis with so many things to do.
Despite that, today I can proudly say that I am one more of the soldiers who managed to complete the challenge, although in the first week I was already regretting it and in the second I almost gave up due to a strong virus that we all contracted at home, but even though it was a horrible week I kept going.
Sadly the third week was no easier and by the fourth week I felt like I was dragging my feet, it was getting really exhausting because of all the kids' activities. Going back and forth, helping with homework, checking notebooks, working, writing, running the Instagram account of my venture and stop counting! I already felt like the 31st would never come and that instead of 30 posts I had written about 5,000!!!!
But finally Sunday 30th arrived and my post was scheduled to go out that day at 6am, so there was only one day left! You can't imagine how happy I was, I was so excited that I decided to celebrate with a day "almost" of relaxation even though I still had to post my 31st post, but I wanted to finish the challenge once and for all so much that I decided to publish it at #hive time and not wait for the 31st in my country, which would be on Monday.
So I said to myself "let's take this Sunday to say goodbye to the challenge with a cup of chocolate and Platzi!" because as I am extreme, in addition to the challenge I found out thanks to my friend that
would be open for a few days to take free courses and as my madness gives for that and more!
So in addition to creating my daily content I started a Digital Content Creation course "online" with a lousy internet connection, so everywhere you look it was total madness.
The courses started on the 27th but due to the bad signal of my internet I was still to finish one of the courses on Sunday, so I decided to take the morning to do it and try to do another course (yes, I know, I'm not normal).
The thing is that since my husband and the kids went to church, I could dedicate myself to Platzi and that's what I did and since everything I do is related to food and besides the rainy weather lent itself to it, I decided to prepare a big cup of chocolate and accompany it with a "besito de coco ", a typical Venezuelan sweet.
I wanted to give the chocolate a different touch, so I added cinnamon and ginger. I didn't add too much sugar because I don't like it too sweet and let me tell you that it turned out spectacular!
The cinnamon and ginger, for me, added more warmth to the drink than it already has and it was super comforting to lay down on my bed with total tranquility to enjoy my cup of steaming chocolate while watching Platzi's classes.
The taste of cinnamon and ginger for me were in perfect balance because I could perceive the flavor of each component including cocoa without any of them overshadowing the other so every sip tasted like Christmas, because for me ginger and cinnamon are flavors and smells of those dates.
So between the weather and my delicious chocolate, the Platzi-course Sunday was looking great! The downside? The chocolate ran out and so did the coconut kiss, so I only had the course left, but better that way, because otherwise I wouldn't have paid enough attention to it because I was eating!
Luckily my Internet was pretty good and I was able to finish the 11 classes I had left (there were 33, I told you I'm a little crazy), but at the end of visualizing the classes I see that I have to take an exam. Oh, oh, surprise, surprise!
Half an hour to answer 30 questions and I could only fail 3 times, otherwise I had to retake it. I knew beforehand that it was very likely that I wouldn't get it right the first time, and not because I didn't have faith, I was aware that in some classes I was distracted, so I started with the test, without great expectations.
Some questions were very simple and for others I had to think a bit, analyze and try to remember. The latter is not very good for me lately!
I finished with time left and the platform allows you to review and change some answers if necessary. I only changed one and as I suspected I failed! My son, who by that time had already arrived from church, laughed at me saying that I should go for repairs. He found it very funny!
The great thing about this is that they tell you which questions you get wrong, which allows me to review only those classes. In my case out of the 30 questions I answered 22 correctly and 8 wrong, so I had to take the test again.
So Sunday was not looking so good now! I had to keep studying even though I was expecting it, so I took it in the best way possible and I decided to review the material and wait for the 5 hours to elapse before taking the test again.
Once I did the review I started another course, but then my Internet decided that it was a big abuse on my part to pretend to keep working and simply stopped working, so I dedicated myself to write this post since I was determined that today Sunday in Venezuela and Monday for #hive I would publish my 31st post and finish with the challenge!
I definitely wanted to start the week and the month a little more relaxed since my weekend was full of courses and content creation. Of course they will say for fun and they would be right, but what is life without a challenge that helps us discover what we are made of and what we are capable of doing and as they say in Platzi, "never stop studying ". Growing every day remains the goal!
And not to leave you with the curiosity in the second attempt I did manage to pass the test but thanks to my Internet at the time of publishing this post I had not been able to finish the second course. The bad thing? they don't unlock your certificate unless you subscribe to a curriculum.
All in all I can say it was a weekend full of satisfaction. I managed to complete one more month of continuous creation and finish and pass one of the Platzi courses, so I'm not complaining.
It may not have been the most fun weekend, but it was one of great accomplishments.
I'll say goodbye for today with my post 31/31. Kisses and blessings!
