Recently due to health issues I have decided to change my life. Enjoy every moment with the people I love and say yes to every opportunity to do something I like!
So with the premise of saying YES to every opportunity to do something different this Saturday was very busy but definitely worth it!
Let me tell you a little bit about our Saturday! We happen to have a family business called "Detallitos Dulces " that offers surprise breakfasts, balloon arrangements, cakes, etc. So on special dates we have work to do and here in Venezuela we celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday.
In view of that our Saturday started with shopping to meet our Sunday deliveries. Everything went at lightning speed because we had an invitation to Parque Costa Azul, one of the shopping malls of our beautiful island.
The invitation came from Arturo, a friend of my son Matias, who is part of the Youth Orchestra System of our state and wanted his friend, that is, my son, to see him play.
Of course I agreed because I myself was part of the Sistema de Orquestas for a good part of my childhood and adolescence with my violin and my daughter Miranda is starting as well, so it was an excellent plan that I could not say no to in any way.
The idea was to get together the three moms of our three musketeers but in the end one of the moms couldn't make it to the concert on time. We arrived running, fifteen minutes after we had been initiated. But thank God we made it!
Just entering the Mall you could hear the William Tell Overture. One of my favorite pieces.
I felt transported back to my years in the orchestra. The wonderful feeling of sitting in front of my music stand and being able to make music is something that cannot be explained with words and to see this group of children and teenagers performing such beautiful pieces was really wonderful.
Miranda was so happy to see the concert and above all very excited because she was recently assigned a piece to study and next Friday she has an evaluation and if she can perform it she will be able to participate in a concert on the 19th. So she was already imagining herself there among those musicians hehe.
For Matias it was very exciting to be able to see Arturo play and of course to accompany him since they are friends since preschool, they are currently in sixth grade. So it is a friendship of many years.
They played a very beautiful repertoire, vlases, sonatas and even mambo! The famous Can Can and of course two pieces that can not miss as they are "Venezuela " and the "Alma Llanera ", two songs that touch the heart of every Venezuelan because they are an intrinsic part of our identity.
We enjoyed the concert in the company of Arturo's mother. My dear friend Claudimar and at the end we met at the food fair in the mall where a delicious KFC chicken was waiting for us and the kids while they were eating were running around draining some energy.
Finally Flor, who was supposed to meet us when she knew that the concert was over, came back and invited us to a plaza located in Asuncion, very close to where the three of us live, so without hesitation I once again said SI.
We finished eating, the children took some pictures and a very special one with the Orchestra Director whom we congratulated for his excellent work with the children. It was a really beautiful concert and that the kids can enjoy the art is wonderful.
After some more pictures (I am very fastidious with that hehehe, I take a lot of pictures!) we left on our way to La Asuncion to meet Flor, who was with her two children and a little niece. So we had 7 kids active and eager to play!
The four boys went straight to play soccer and the three girls went for a walk and of course we took the opportunity to take some pictures.
This square is located in the capital of our state and is located in the historic center of our island. It is really beautiful and in the afternoon there is a lot of movement.
As the children were doing their own thing, we sat down in a very nice restaurant located in the middle of the open air square. From there we had a panoramic view of all the kids so we could keep an eye on them.
We ordered some drinks and took the opportunity to talk about everything a bit since the last scheduled meeting which was the one at the beach Claudimar could not go so we caught up, which means that we talked up to our elbows hahaha.
Around 7:30 pm. Claudimar had to leave and Flor's husband who joined us at the plaza gave the idea to go to a fast food place with great promotions and guess what? I said YES AGAIN!
We all jumped in Flor's car and went for some Jumbo hot dogs!
I can tell you that was really delicious! Huge hot dogs and with a great variety of sauces, something that cannot be missing in any fast food place in our country. They offered a parmesan cheese sauce and a garlic-porro sauce, which were my favorites.
The children enjoyed the food very much between laughter and games and apparently they never get tired, because while the adults finished eating they kept on playing. Their laughter filled the place.
After a short time of conversation at nine o'clock we decided to return home where I had a lot of work to do for my deliveries the next day.
I went to bed super late preparing everything but I was grateful for the time we shared and for all the things we were able to do on that Saturday that would only be musical and we ended up doing a little bit of everything.
The kids had a great time and that is something that for us as parents is super important and on the other hand spending time with friends, laughing, talking and sharing nice moments is really valuable.
It was a very busy Saturday but it was definitely worth it. So saying SI without thinking much about it will be my new philosophy of life hehe.
Kisses and blessings
