Before, whenever there's event that will take place in the Park, me and Mama was always present there. Our town's founding anniversary, Mayor's birthday, he has "pa lugaw" every year or rice porridge for everyone, then there's the Fiesta. There's always a fun events as early as January 12 even though the main Fiesta was in 19. That whole week is just an event filled and we're always excited to attend or witness even 4 or more of those. But this year's different. Aside from I get lazy, (is this what it is when you reach your 30s?) Lol - I also think the oldies situation at home. After Mommy F stroke last October, I just feel like I have to stay at home always. She's better now though, but I guess it is all just my laziness that's stopping me. Hahh, to be in my 30 is -full of fun! Lol
Excuse me... ƪ(‾.‾“)┐
So, last night is the night for a Singing Contest, that's part of the early celebration of Fiesta here in Bansud. Last friday night was a Barangay Night and then later tonight will be for Miss Tourism, a pageant but I am not sure if I will watch it. I feel like not going especially tomorrow is the main event and I will surely go and watch tomorrow for the grand variety show. Anyhow, I watched the singing contest with Mama last night. Before leaving home though I had this urge to take a selfie to show how cold it is that time in here. Its really cold! Seriously
We left home at 6:30 pm, we're early. But the singing contest was supposed to happen at 6 pm, but I think the judges was late so it started at 8 ʘ‿ʘ
We arrive at the park and the stage are set. I noticed that it gets smaller as the year goes by. I remember during college, what we have of a stage here is that what we called "El Kapitan stage." Its huge and wider. But I guess this one is just "el konsehao" now. Lol. Its just actually an inside joke between me and the oldies, lol. Anyways it still look lively here though
Waiting for the main event would be super boring so we look around too in the park, I mean, the place is always bustling and lively so we'll never get bored here. I just noticed that there's a few people that night. But, its still early so maybe they visit the park at much later time
After walking around and there, we finally saw the stage lit up. So mama said, they will finally start. There's already more people when we check it.
I really want to go near to where the stage is but Mama want to sit while watching. So we went to this spot. There's actually a lot of people on this spot too.. and although the stage is far from us, but thanks to the big screen in front of us, we fan still see the contestants.
The program started with a prayer and with National Anthem. Then there's intermission too, dancers from PUP Bansud campus.
And the competition finally started. There's actually a two category of competitors and both has 13 contestant. 2 is for amateur and the second was... Wait I forgot. Guess they are those veteran when it comes to competing? I mean professional. We stayed to watch but we couldn't finish the amateur ones because I don't know, me and mama didn't really enjoy it. But, the kids are all good I can really just sense their nervousness.
After the fifth contestant, we then decided to go home. I think I already enjoy the night and we stay there for a bit too long already. We're already going but the others is just about to start their fun in the park, lol.
We arrive home at 9, I go to bed happy because I get to enjoy the night again even just for a short while \(o)/. But tomorrow's more fun for sure. I am already looking forward for the Street Dancing that will happen in the day and the Grand Variety Show at night ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ
