Do you like your name? If you will ask me that question before I will answer it with a big NO. Mama gave that name to me same with my siblings. Aside from that our name starts with letter R - Rizza, Rocky Jr., Ruffa and Rocky Boy. The reason why I hate it is because it sounds too girly for me. I mean, why Ruffa? Why not just Kristen, Kim, Avery or Ember? That Ember is my favorite name before. I get that to a Pilipino Pockebook that was written by my Favorite Author. But then in the End, I still learned to love my own name and now I am using it in every platform that I know, like here in Hive. I just added -totmeee at the end of it coz it sounds cute.
Hello Hivers, today is Sunday so HAPPY SUNDAY to all of you. I was tagged today by in her Article: Eybyoung Is Not Just A Username But My Nickname (WE112) and I just discovered that there's a new challenge on Weekend Experience initiated by
. I like the challenge so I want to take part of it. And I choose this one because I actually have a lot of micknames because of that 5 letter name of mine.
Nickname given or received
Do you have a nickname or pet name given to you by someone else? What is it and why were you given it? Or, have you given someone else a nickname that stuck What is it and how did they earn it? Source
The only nickname that I accept is Parot because it was given to me by my Mommy but in real sense she's my Father's sister so she's my Auntie. She's the one who take care of me from the time that my Mama gave birth to me, until today. It should be Parrot like that beautiful bird with a beautiful color but mine is single 'R' only. I don't really know where did my Mommy get that but my guess is it also came from my name like when you pronounce my name "Ruffa" repeatedly it will came like this: RuffaRuffaRuffaRuffa
Here's the mathematical explanation that I can produce. I did my best on explaining it by this I am not sure if you get it but did you? Lol. I never really ask Mom why she call me "Parot" ever since but I think this is the only explanation in it. I actually like that Nickname because just like a Parrot I am talkative when I was just a kid, lol. But I'm not like that anymore but still Parot is the nickname that I want everyone to remember when they heard my name "Ruffa."
As for these other nick name, they were given to me by different people from friends online, former classmates etc,. So let's start with Rufingfing this was given to me by the sister of my Mommy F partner. Whenever she will come here in our place or us to her house she will always call me by that name. I'm okay with it as if I can complain, lol. And she's the oy one who call me in that name. Some if not Ruffa then they go with Ruffie or Ruffs.
And for Ruffs and Ruffie as I've said my former classmates and here from the virtual world they use that name to call me. I think that is the most normal and more natural as it is not that different from Ruffa aside from their spelling. I mean Rufingfing? Hahaha. I don't know. Anyone can call me Ruffs or Ruffie and I am okay even if they make my 5 letters name shorter. But to be honest my close friend doesn't call me on this name coz they Prefer "Baluga," "Lugain," or "Pangit." We call each other in that name too, lol.
And the last but not the least, lol. Ruffina Patis? Really? By the way Patis mean Fish Sauce here in the Philippines. And you know who calls me in that name? Non other than my Mom's partner, Mommy Ding. If you didn't know yet I have 3 mothers by the way. That is the name that I find ugly because she added the word "Patis" on it. It is the stinkiest nick name that I have right now, as in. And did you know where where it came from? It is an actual name of a Fish Sauce product here in the Philippines.
I'm not sure if it's allowed to share the picture here but I'll just share the Link to make sure: Rufina Patis Product
Oh please to my Friends here I just hope they don't tease me with that nickname (Ruffina Patis) lol. That would be embarrassing 🙈 lol. Call me anything except that please but I really prefer if you will call me Parot, Ruffa or Ruffie (。ŏ﹏ŏ).
