Year 2072, New Delhi
I was about 100 meters away from my house, I pushed a button on the dashboard of my electric car and the gate of my house opened. I entered the house and parked the car in the shed outside the garage.
I saw a silver Mercedes Benz 2021 model petrol car parked on my lawn, which my father bought in the year of my birth. It now comes under the vintage car category, but we can no longer drive it. No, the car is in running condition, but now petrol is not available anymore.
Governments all over the world have stopped the production of fossil fuels. If I remember correctly, I last sat in this car in 2026. Since then, it’s been parked here permanently, and sadly, there is no taker for this car. I have never seen petrol, but I wish I could find it somewhere and see what it looked like.
I have heard that earlier there were petrol, gas, and diesel pumps that provided other facilities to the customers, but as far as I remember or my memory serves me right when I was a child, I used to insist on getting chocolate, french fries, etc. from the petrol pump, but my dad rarely bought any of them for me. I heard our government stopped production of chocolate in 2030. Bad for your teeth, huh? I wish I could eat chocolate and recall what it tasted like.
While I parked my Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita 2067, I came across the solar energy meter panel in the lawn, which is installed close to the water sprinkler system where my father once told me we had LPG and electricity meters here too, but I never saw them. Or even if I saw them, I do not remember because I was born in 2018 and the government removed these meters in 2025. Solar energy has replaced them all. I wish I could see them!
Now the source of all types of energy is the sun. which is a never ending energy. My father told us we had a gas stove in our kitchen. Now it is not there. But it didn’t look much different from our electric stove. There was a gas water heating system in the house, but now everything runs on electricity.
I look at the roof of my house and wonder what technology is used to produce electricity from these solar panels? However, I know that our government is harnessing the energy of the sun in every way. Solar energy is now used exclusively to operate and maintain our planet's atmospheric system.I wish I could see how electricity is produced by coal and oil. I hear some countries are still producing electricity through hydroelectricity plants.
But it‘s good that life survived on Earth and we have turned to the primary source of heat, which is the Sun itself, whose temperature at its surface is 6000 Celsius and at its center 2000000 Celsius. Do you know that small waves moving at the speed of 186,000 miles per second are called the heat of the sun? I have heard that once upon a time there were generators and inverters too, because the demand for electricity was high, and today the production is more than the demand. But I have the courage to see a generator, an inverter, petrol, and many more things, but I will probably never see them.
I also remember we used to have routers for internet connectivity until 2025, but then information technology changed and they connected every place to the internet without the need for routers. I can still see the video players and play stations in our store, but then the metaverse and 6G technology have replaced everything.
