It's been a long day today. We left the house at 5 am and for a 10-hour drive to get to the little village, where this beautiful piece of land is at. It was a very nice sunny day, but the temperature was quite cold. It is supposed to freeze tonight. Getting to the Quinta (farm) and seeing it all green before the sun was getting down was just breathtaking. I had the image from the end of the summer visit where everything was still quite dry and dusty. Now looks completely different with all that wild grass.
It has been raining a lot in this area of Portugal and everything is nice and green. Luckily it is supposed to be sunny for the 5 days we will be here so we will enjoy our time as we start arranging things to start working on the property next trip. We already had two meetings with locals which can give us a hand with the olive trees, the land maintenance, and reconstruction.
We are exhausted, so we had an early dinner and decided to rest by the fireplace at the little apartment we are staying in the village next door. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day again, but having a chance to spend some time on our new piece of land is gonna be quite exciting.
