With so much information that comes to us, sometimes it is very hard to tell what is legit or not among those information but the topics that I will discuss here were undeniably legit and would not really require people to dig very deep on this topics.
Sex Before Marriage
Many people, religious organizations in particular, considers Marriage a sacred thing that ties a man and woman for their life and consider having sex before marriage or Premarital Sex to be a sacrilege against the will of their God but even so, this was a thing the couples keep on doing regardless of whether they are religious or not. If I should say the difference between the two, religious people often feel guilty about it after they did it same as to when they watch porn or masturbate unlike those that are atheistic or agnostic ones that consider it as a another means of knowing your partner. As for me, being an atheist my self, I also don't really mind having premarital sex as long as it is between two consenting adults and can take responsibility if something happens. With inflation and increasing cost of living, marriage would be the last thing that couples should be worrying about and should not be deprived of this type of activities just because their religion forbids them of it.
Deforestation
Forest are vital on a tropical country like Philippines where I live. It provides resources and gives protection from the impacts of climate change such as the numerous typhoons that are hitting our country but our forest are dwindling due to deforestation. Cutting of trees for lumber and turning forest areas for subdivisions are some of the examples of deforestation and is not only affecting the overall ecosystem of the area. It also causes floods and landslides due to the lack of trees that is needed to absorb the water and keep the soil from corroding. One of the major cause for this are the land grabbers who would convert forest areas to residential areas and illegal loggers that would cut trees indiscriminately to sell as furniture and housing materials. There are already laws to punish this type of people but they were very lax so the offenders keeps on doing it and there is very little manpower to protect our forest against them that's why they can always get away so a change in law and increasing the punishment to the offenders was the way to do it but they should also provide enough manpower for it. As for the repairing of the deforested areas, I think it should be an endeavor both the government and the citizens should make together by planting trees and taking care of them to the point that they are old enough to survive.
Pornography Industry
The porn industry was a thriving industry that runs world wide with the purpose of sexual arousal and erotic satisfaction by the means of showing sexual material such as videos and images. On U.S alone, it is said that the industry was earning $10-15 billion a year. Sex was an essential part of our life and people will always crave for it but there were times that people needs to blow of some steam but cannot do it because their partner refuses them or they do not even have a partner to begin with and this is where pornographic materials can come in handy and for that, there will always be a demand for it and I believe that this industry will not go away for a long time.
While others think that this was harmful cause children might be exposed on it, I would not say that it is completely bad. Just like any industry, there were people working on it and if its the only way for them to put food on the table, then who am I to condemn this people to what they do with their bodies. If there is something that I am against will be the production of pornographic material that involves children just to satisfy the sick fetishes of some people. So in my opinion, it is better to have a strict regulation to the companies that provides pornographic material so that it would only be accessible to adults and to also prevent the from producing child pornography.
And I think that was it for this post. This was in participation with the Weekend Experience Community with topics provided by
