Weekend starts on Friday here, unlike the saturday-sunday weekend around most parts of the world. It seems like it has been so long since I can just sit back and finally relax for a wile.
The last month I was almost always on the run. More so on weekends if that was even possible! So today was a welcome day of a very late morning! I even have some time in hand to start writing a post, maybe even finish it...before I have to be on the run again this evening. Yet I am not really mad that I have to, I am just relieved that I had at least half a day to relax. Such are the times eh!
I sometimes read posts in the weekend-community and sometimes envy the fun stuff people do on weekends. And my calls were answered, the last few weekends have been some of the hectic weekends I remember for both my wife and I. And they were quite fun weekends for me, not so much for my wife LOL as her hectic days turned out confined to the study table. Mine on the other hand was scowering Dhaka with her younger brother!
But when you have too much fun for too long is exactly when you start to realize how important a boring, laid back cold winter weekend morning really is!
So my plan for today is to make the as boring as I can for myself and just spend my time doing "nothing" for as long as I can! If I didn't have to go out again in the evening, I might have considered delving into a books with my evening coffee, or tea. Lack of the boring weekends actually resulted in me losing touch with reading books - a habit that I restarted after a long time a few months back. So today would have been nice to sit back with a book and forget the world around me. Let's see, maybe I will still get my chill-pill after I come back home tonight.
The cold is much tolerable today after two days of bone-aching, gloomy days of winter. The cold today is very pleasant in fact, there is a light breeze that almost smells like nostalgia - although that could very well be what my wife is cooking in the kitchen. I am not too willing to think hard and find out, I just want to be super lazy right now and enjoy my boring weekend while it lasts.
