Life in village is completelly different from what we get to see in city. In the last few years, I observed that the village people are still attached to the roots and dedicately follow the age old tradition and culture. So what used to be a common thing in a city is completelly different in village. When it comes to owning a pet, they are very strict to say "NO" to Dogs, Cats or other animals. In contrary they prefer to have parrot, pigeons and some livestock animals.
This one is a recent addition in my uncles home.
I remember "minu-bitu: the two pigeons with me during my childhood. But it didnt took time to fell prey to stray cats. Since then, i didnt like cats at all especially when it comes to owning one. Now we do have around 30 odd pigeons at home. It was 2 of them in begining which expanded to 30. They all are free but prefer to stay in my rooftop. Literally, we don't own them anymore.
Dogs are strict no at home, as people here in villages are not OK to keep them home as they are considered not good. Now if we took around, we get to see, goats, cows, a lot. Every home have them, so that they can derive different products from them. This a week old calf is one of them.
The day he was born , he already took a centrestage. Kids of our home prefer to play, and me also like to snuggle and caress a bit. It feel so good to spend time with him. If we look closely, these calf faces are the best example of innocense. They look at you with so much of expectation. They like to Lick, they want our attention.
So why not cuddle these. Last few days, he kept me busy in morning hours. It feels so good.
He going to stay for few month untill Will find a new home. To share some interesting facts,
- Indians worship milk giving cows.
- They even make use of cow dung and urine in worshipping.
- Stored dung are use as a organic fertilizers for farming.
- People sell fresh milk within the villages.
This Mukti Utility purpose is what make it so special to keep these animals as pet. They take care of them like their own family.
