From Monday, I start to look forward to the weekend. It's crazy seeing I just came out of one but I can't help it. I believe there are people out there like myself.
At a basketball game
Weekend for ne starts on Friday evening, at the very minute work dismisses. Not like it's characterized by anything in particular. I just go home to my bed, eat, Netflix and chill while reminiscing on how well to maximize the weekend. Once or twice, I hang out with the guys and play catch up. If any other thing comes up too then, it's fine.
Saturday morning arrives and I have the liberty to sleep in some more or not. Whichever my eyelids want, I succumb to. The rest of the day roll out pretty much anyhow I please. Unlike the weekdays, they're hardly scheduled.
Surely, I have a mental note of everything I need to get done but this time, I work at my pace, giving no room to be pressured to meet a deadline. Switching between activities and dumping or picking up on tasks happens frequently.
Typically on a Saturday, I do a thorough clean up of my space, change my sheets, play some music at high volume and jam to it while running tasks around the house. Thankfully I don't have to wash clothes(which is the one task that would usually take a big chunk of my day) because I started washing daily. You know, take off an outfit and wash immediately.
At the local market shopping food stuff
Once I'm done with the cleanings, I do some market runs. Prepping my meals for the week is one hack I learned that has greatly improved my living and helped me save time. So, I go out to the local market and shop foodstuff and make purchases to replace items I'd run out off. It's on my way to the market that I drop by the laundry shop and send my clothes in for ironing(doesn't happen every week). I find my way back home and prepare soups and stew to last the week which I store in the fridge. Takes a little while since I'm a lazy cook and I can be a mess in the kitchen. Cleanup follows.
My laptop for work
Exhausted, I have a shower and sleep a little. Then I awake and handle spillover office-work from the previous week, if there's any. I think this is one not-so-exciting part of working remotely. But I don't overindulge because I'm a big believer that the weekends should be for fun and relaxation.
Thereafter, in the evening, i get my sports-bag and go play football. This is the best way that I can unwind; by doing what I love. I've been trying out basketball too so anyone of them goes. Sprts I general s an effective way to get all of my senses all pumped up and active. And maybe that's where the day's tasks end. Mind you, in between, I handle any errand or personal business that's not like the everyday routine work.
A visit to the mall
Sunday! It's the real deal for all of the fun. Service in the morning. Movies and relaxation the rest of the day. It's mostly on Sundays too that I go by the mall for personal shopping. Don't forget, sleep. I attend Hangouts and parties too but those aren't very regular.
At this point now, I assume I can call myself structured and organized since I have a layout of what should happen which I kind of follow through.. It's a little confusing still since these activities could change by the weekend. I'm sometimes impulsive and can do things as they come to mind taking no mind for what should be done. I guess it's best to say that I'm somewhere in between.
What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by.
