Last weekend I had no plans, I was thinking of staying at home resting, dedicating some time to the painting that I like so much, but when I woke up, I was surprised, my brother Guillermo, came to visit me with my dad and his wife, they wanted to make the weekend something different.
It had been a long time since I had not shared weekends with my brother so often since I left Cuba and it was an immense joy to share with him once again.
The truth is that apart from my husband and son, they are my little family in Venezuela and just like me, it gives them a lot of joy when someone comes to visit us and now with my brother, we add a little more haha, it is very nice that they come to visit me to chat a little and hang out.
They came to visit me with the plan to make a Cuban style broth with everything and firewood which is the exciting thing for that they had brought corn, taro, plantain, pumpkin, chicken and even bread to not waste time to go out and spend more time between jokes and jokes, due to the surprise they gave me, I could barely bring a few yuccas for the occasion, and the place of course haha. While my dad's wife and I were in charge of toasting the bread, my dad, brother, husband and son, being the men, were gathering the firewood and preparing the broth outdoors.
When the broth was ready we sat down to talk for a while, and my brother telling jokes and stories because he is the one that my son likes, haha, it was a nice time we spent as a family and without realizing it the night was over, the time when we are together flies by.
Spending this time with my family was very gratifying for me, it recharges my batteries, although I keep thinking about the ones I don't have by my side that I also miss a lot.
I like these little moments and my son enjoys them very much, he likes the fuss and eating.
