THOSE WHO SAID IT CAN'T BE DONE ... SHOULDN'T GET IN MY WAY WHILE I'M DOING IT! - Author: Rosetta D. Hoessli
Hello Hello you awesome beautiful people 😃
The G-Dog surprised everyone by popping up with a wee weekend post activity and this is my entry, check the Original Post from here ....
From his post this is the rule on word count...
✅ Your post must be between 250 and 350 words
and The scenario is:
✅ You have $1,000 to spend on anything you like over one weekend. It's for entertainment purposes though, so you can't give it away, invest it or save it - The money must be spent on your weekend activities. Explain what you do, where you go and who you take with you (if anyone). Talk about the activities, the aftermath, or whatever!
My Entry
Surely Galen has made a gaffe, giving me a thousand dollars to spend and American ones at that! I thought the Aussies had their own dollars? Oh well 1000 USD in real money is 736 British pounds to play with, nae bother!
"Danny ya wee bawbag, get your father-in-law to book us a tee time for the morning, and bring your wallet, I am gunning for you!
A weekend staycation of golf and fishing in Fife, Scotland.
First up on Saturday is golf at The Old Course in St. Andrews, home of golf and incidentally where I took my first baby steps on the beach by the course. I last played the Old Course a few years ago with one of my best friends (Danny) before his wedding. His father-in-law is a starter for the Old Course so we will get a good tee time. I would hire a caddie and do it in style this time!

This is the Swilcan Burn that separates the 1st and 18th holes, and yes I landed in the water the very first time I played this course at the age of ten. Needless to say I did not win that competition.

Round of 18 holes Cost £270
Caddie Hire Cost £55 + £20 Tip = £75
Total Golf Cost = £345
Sunday would be sea angling. A small fishing boat complete with a skipper would be hired from Anstruther in Fife for six hours. Dinner for Sunday would be the fish we caught of course. There would be space for six people, so whoever was sober was free to come along.

Boat Cost £320
Equipment Hire Cost £30
Total Fishing Cost £350
Food and drinks for both days would be provided by the girls, so no costs involved. Likewise, accommodation would be in our houses, so no additional costs.
Petrol for car between home and St Andrews and home and Anstruther = £40.
The weekend total entertainment cost = £735 or $998
So Galen was right, it was a gaff for bringing in the fish not a gaffe of giving me 1000USD!
