Happy New Year to all Hivers near and far.
Lang may yer bum reek in yer wee hoose!
What a year 2021 was and I for one hope we have a better year and an end to this virus that wreaked havoc. I also hope we have as few natural disasters as possible. Please spare a thought for the Typhoon Rai (Odette) victims, some of whom I know are still powerless and waterless after two weeks.
I joined Hive in the latter part of 2021 so that was memorable for me as was finding this community and the weekend-engagement prompts.
This post is for WE82 and in particular Option 4 which is the chosen Option I will write about in this article.
Option four
Choose a hive user you have engaged with and enjoyed over the year and tell me about them and why you have connected and engaged with them over the year - Showcase them or just show some gratitude.
One good thing about joining Hive, is meeting long lost friends that I knew from other platforms, however in this post I shall introduce you to three wonderful hive users that I have engaged with. I appreciate their engagement, I love their posts and adore their characters.
There is no favouritism with me, I have simply listed them in alphabetical order!
Now ladies, help yourself to a wee cookie, whilst I start to regale how wonderful you are!
and I hit it off straight away. Like me she can be serious or fun, and is very determined, and I quote "a bit bossy" your words Eli đŸ˜‹ Although she lives in Venezuela, like me she has travelled extensively internationally and loves exploring different places. On so many levels we can relate. Eliana is also my goto girl when I need help on hive! We have a mutual bucket list that seems to grow daily of the things we are to do together, so I am looking forward to seeing what we shall end up doing virtually this year.
is a lady with one of the biggest hearts you will ever meet. Eylz is from The Philippines and is a small business owner, meaning she is working seven days a week in her sari sari. I love trying to learn some Tagalog from her and drooling at her food she shows me. Eylz wants to do a culinary course and I hope that wish comes true soon. An example of her kindness is when I organised a Christmas Challenge on another platform, as soon as I announced the prizes that I would be giving out, at no prompting for me, she sends some money thus enabling me to give another prize.
is a superstar. Rebeca and I connected immediately and we both relate to each as we suffer from a serious illness which can affect us without warning, and people around us don't get it, why are you so bubbly when you are in pain etc etc. Like
Rebeca is from Venezuela and I enjoy speaking the odd word on Spanish with her. We also tease each other and I owe Rebeca a story about an oboe playing Walrus, and Rebeca owes me as I sure you are aware a video of herself throwing pizza dough up in the air and hopefully falling in her hair, yes I am a meanie jaja.
Three wonderful ladies who I know virtually and are awesome hivers.
Each of them puts up with me, so they must be pretty extraordinary! It would be my pleasure for each of you to visit them and get to know them. Laughs will be guaranteed.
By the way, we have a new duck for 2022. He is a Tufted diving duck and is called Tufty, Tufty will be appearing in read.cash very soon so stay tuned for more quacking adventures.
As we are talking about gratitude, I just want to say a big thank you to for organising these prompts. They are always thought provoking and are great fun.
If you have read this far, then my thanks go out to you and wishing you a very Happy New Year!
PS Did you understand the Scottish New Year greeting at the beginning of the post?
