Having a friendship that has lasted over 25 years is the best thing I could wish for. Such a connection, so many shared adventuresâthere is simply nothing better. I will always be grateful to have been in this group of girls since the beginning of my childhood.
Even as children, my friend and I always celebrated our birthdays together. Her birthday is on July 6th, and mine is on the 10th, so it was mandatory to celebrate together. Convincing our parents to let us party a little longer was always successful because it was for two birthdays. And, of course, if one of us had a crush, we made sure he got an invite. Less suspicious that way. đ
young
and a little bit older now
Recently, we decided it was time for a joint birthday party again. We hadn't had one since we were 15, but it was time to see our old gang. We invited friends from our childhood, our partners, and even our parents. Seeing everyone after so many years was incredible. We saw how much weâve all changed and achievedâsome have kids, some are married with houses, and some are still chasing dreams. The day was beautiful.
The party started at one oâclock, but true to form, my dear friends werenât punctual. đ When we were all together again, it was magical. We screamed, hugged, and jumped for joy. It's hard to get everyone together because life is hectic, but when we do, itâs unforgettable. Mishaâs boyfriend was our chef, cooking up amazing food while we took turns serving drinks. We had to drink a bit more responsibly this time, though!
The weather was perfectâsunny with a bit of wind, so not many mosquitoes.
Of course, now that we're adults, we invited our parents too. We can drink in front of them without getting grounded for two weeks! Funny enough, I think our parents were more drunk than we were that day. It's interesting how times change. đ
Seeing old classmates was pure joy. We reminisced, laughed, sang our favorite childhood songs, and danced. I lost my voice and my whole body ached, but it was worth it. At 33, partying all day and night was something we hadnât done in a long time, but we didnât want the day to end.
It was a wonderful day, and I hope we can do it again soon. A friendship that has lasted this long is priceless. My girls are truly amazing. As we grow older, these moments remind us that while life changes, true friendship remains a constant source of joy and strength. Here's to many more years of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories with my incredible friends.
