Another page has been written in the diary of life this weekend
Like a play, such is life: it matters not how long it has lasted, but how beautifully it has unfolded- Seneca
Wow it's already Monday, I had such a nice weekend that I wish it would have lasted a bit longer, considering the cautious times we are going through (either there is a pandemic or war is knocking at your door).
It all started 3 weeks ago when our godparents paid us a visit without telling us the reason, initially we knew that they were going to organize a party in honor of their child born only in the presence of the parents, a small party with a maximum of 30 people.
From conversation to conversation, at one point I see him take a pink envelope out of his purse and give it to his wife, at which point my wife realizes it's an invitation to the baby's christening.
At the last minute they decided to make it a larger party, in addition to the family I called my best friends at the end having about 130 people.
You can imagine that I immediately accepted the invitation, the party being scheduled for Sunday at a restaurant not far from where I live.
The day of the event came and my wife couldn't wait for this moment, she loves such parties because she has fun and loves to dance with friends.
The event started with the walk to the church after which everyone went to the restaurant, the restaurant is very well known in our area especially as the owner of this place owns a fleet of coaches that daily make the route Romania-Germany.
The child's parents had some extraordinary emotions but they all passed once the party started, the place was decorated by a specialized company, I personally liked the candy bar in that area I felt comfortable.
The atmosphere was maintained by a band that played all night until morning, in our area we have a few genres of folk music on which they dance, that is to say the guests on these songs had a great time.
Probably in other parts of the world music genres differ, for example the kind of music played in western Romania differs from the kind of music played in eastern or central Romania.
Let me tell you some information about the menu chosen for this beautiful evening, the appetizer was very diversified and very good (I leave you below some photos), for the main course we had cow soup to which we added some sour cream and it was sensational, for the main course we had sarmale (sarmale is an authentic Romanian dish and is made of pork (minced) mixed with rice, salt, pepper, paprika (sweet or hot), thyme, bay leaves, and at the end this meat filling is wrapped in cabbage leaves (cabbage can be sweet or sour), also for the main course we had pork steak, natural potatoes with a fine mushroom sauce and spinach wrapped in cheese and bacon, really a delight.

During the event we had a candy bar full of sweets and even a chocolate fountain, which delighted the children, and the evening ended with a very nice festive cake.
I would be very happy if you could tell me what customs you have at such events, for example in our western Romania the christening ceremony revolves around the number three, the priest waters the child three times, we have three lit candles, the material with which the child is wrapped must be three meters long and many other old customs.
I had some amazing lemonade.
We had a special corner for photos.
The cake was really delicious.
Everyone danced to good music.
Even though I spent until the morning I am at work today (even though I slept about 3 hours), I couldn't wait to share this beautiful event with you and I hope you enjoyed it.
In conclusion, the party was an emotional one (being the first child), with joy, with hopes, everything was like a story full of magic and this is how I close a page of my life diary.
When we left for home we received a gift of a bottle of a local drink (tuica) and a box of cookies.
