Hi friends,
How are you today?
When I saw The $1000 Weekend Topic, a lot of possibilities came to mind to spend this money in a weekend, besides I could choose to be selfish and prefer to spend this money alone just for myself, I definitely chose the smarter decision to spend this money.
How would you spend this money?
I have chosen to spend this money in only one way which is definitely in my opinion the best choice.
So as not to keep you in suspense, and with a few tears in the corner of my eyes, I'm telling you that with all this money I could take some children with cancer to the sea.
I certainly wouldn't use that money for myself.
Yes you read correctly what I wrote above.
A few years ago I had the misfortune to be with my mother in an oncology hospital in a town about 300km from where I live.
During oncology procedures that lasted up to six hours, I used to walk around the hospital, which was organized on three floors, and one whole floor was dedicated to children with cancer, these children spent most of their lives in the hospital.
Many of them don't know what childhood is, they haven't really had a taste of it.
For these reasons, we must lend them a helping hand, not turn our backs and condemn them to death.
Let's try to give them a life jacket, which can make a big difference to their suffering.
On all these things may depend their future, an uncertain future as they drift along waiting for the miracle of getting well.
Most of them can say that destiny has condemned them to death, a slow but painful death.
Honestly when we walk through that floor of the hospital and see how much suffering there is there I go crazy.
I met children there who wanted very much to see the sea, they didn't have the opportunity to see it because their start in life was spent in hospital.
Their lives aren't exactly rosy, but I saw in their eyes the amazing desire to fight to heal and I was even amazed when they thought about what they would have to do as adults.
Can you imagine when other children have everything they want and they want to see and touch sea water.
In conclusion, I would spend this money, plus more money of my own, to help these children not to dream of the sea, but to be able to go and reach it.
So, I use this money not to clip their wings.
I admit I chose a sensitive topic, but this was the most pronounced idea I had in mind.
Everything I wrote in today's post is true and the added pictures are taken by me.
Thanks in advance for those who support the project, but I'm also happy to get advice on my blogs.
