One day, is not that much really, but if you plan it right you can fit a lot into it. There are a few things I would like to do with , but they would not, all fit into one day. I don't like to feel rushed. Especially when I am in the wilderness and that is exactly, where we would be spending our day. 24hrs to be exact. Because where we are going, you would want to spend at least one night there. I mean I'd have too and I think
would agree.
I'm assuming that we can be teleported. So that I would be beamed up from Spain and from Australia, getting to meet each other when, we are both beamed down into Alaska, at dawn. To see the sunrise over the the most beautiful wilderness you can imagine.
We have one day or 24 hrs, to walk 45kms, which will take is to our pick up point. Most of the trek will be done on that same day. Whilst the last 5 km, will be done the following morning. We will be quoted with everything we could possibly need. Going for sleeping hammocks, instead of a tent, for the few hours of sleep we will take.
We have been beamed down onto a very wide river bed, which we get to walk alongsude for the first 5 kms. It's of course beaming with life. After that navigate ourselves across it, so that we can turn more inland.
After greeting each another and checking our day packs, to make sure we have everything we need, we are on our way. It's the end of summer, so the perfect temperature to be trekking in, still warm enough to enjoy a swim in the rivers as well.
Alaska is somewhere that I have dreamt of visiting, since I was a child. I remember seeing a book in the local library about this vast wilderness, with the most stunning natural landscape and it called to me. It still does. So of course that's where I'd head and I couldn't think of anyone better to take with me, than .
We are similar in ways and one of them, is feeling at home in the wild. We both would have our wits about us and we would certainly have the best fucking time, exploring the amazing nature, in Alaska. (Sorry, but sometimes a swear word says it best). I'd love to have to figure out a way across the river together. Cos who knows if it's going to be easy sailings or not. Maybe we'd be wading, maybe we would make use of some rope, some weights, and the trees on the otherside or perhaps there is a fallen branch some of the way.
I get very excited when I get to explore new places in the wild and I reckon would share my enthusiasm and that's what you want, that's what makes the experience even better. Someone who appreciates the natural world, just as much. Then its into the forest, where the trees are majestic and the ferns are giants and we are both in our element.
The rest for the day would be spend, exploring, whilst also following the map. Who knows what we may meet, what will cross our paths. Who knows, maybe we might just disappear into the wilderness. I reckon we'd both have each others backs and we both got enough wilderness survival skills between us, to have a great adventure.
