I've been quiet busy, this past week. I had some work on, helped some friends out (on top of the daily busyness of living with amd homeschooling my girls). Which has seen me, away from the land each day. Except for yesterday and today.
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I need my down time, time to just be at home with my girls and the animals.
These past two days, I have not left the land. I woke up yesterday morning, to the sound of rain falling. Something I was not expecting, but oh it was so welcome.
The air felt and smelt so fresh and I love the feel of wet earth on my feet. It was such a wonderful start to my day, which saw me and my girls enjoy the turn in the weather, which motivated us to sort through some of our things in the truck.

That's what happens when you are forced to spend more time indoors, you focus more, on the indoors. It always feels real good to do some downsizing. It amazes me, how much stuff my girls ( and I) gather. When you live in a tiny home, it doesn't take much, to make your home feel full. We have a rule, if you bring something new in to our home, then you have to let go of something (within reason of course). That way it doesn't get cluttered, but it's hard to keep track sometimes, so every few months we need to downsize. Luckily my girls have no problem with it, to be honest it can be harder for me sometimes, as I'm still learning to let things go and they have always had to. It's been a normal part of their lives.
So we went through our things, which of course brought up memories, which with them, brought tears and laughter. As well as some Jokes and even some singing. These are the moments I cherish the most, moments when I hang out with my girls, connect more deeply with them. Where I get to bask in their light and see how amazing each of them are. To see each of their personalities shine. Where we get to just hang out and chat honestly with one another. Listening to music and being silly together, whilst also being productive, as we downsize. I couldn't have asked, for a better way in which to spend my weekend.
