And how will you know if you ever reach your full potential?
This question made me remember when a few years ago I asked a couple of friends what it felt like to have an orgasm, and they responded that it was the greatest sexual pleasure that could be felt... And I kept wondering over and over again how I was supposed to know that it was already the maximum?
And so, one day I experienced it and immediately knew what they meant. I'm glad I understood it through my own experience; it would have been a real shame to still have doubts.
Now, I believe that our maximum potential as human beings is much more complex than that. In fact, they say that we use only a very small part of our brain, which doesn't seem to be a lie. Surely, we are capable of many more things than we generally do as humans, yet most of us live immersed in a struggle for survival without questioning anything.
Even so, we can be guided by certain parameters, by seeing what others have been able to achieve. However, the best parameter we can have lies in contemplating ourselves and being honest with ourselves.
Questions such as: Is this the best I can do? Is this the most I can achieve? Can I do better?
I think it can be a basic but useful guide to make conclusions and take new decisions and actions in favor of achieving our goals.
In my case, honestly, I have not given my best for myself to myself , so I can say that it has not been the maximum, I have drifted a lot and I have entertained myself for hours on social media, I have stayed in a stupid comfort zone, which has nothing comfortable about it, but it is what I feel ❝safe❞, although sometimes I hate it. I have continued in a vicious circle that at times requires a physical effort and a time management that keeps me in the same place from which I want to escape.
And I am not only referring to a physical place, although it also includes it.
Greater commitment to myself—that's what I will do—to make better use of my time. Working more efficiently rather than exerting more effort.
Focusing on activities that bring me closer to my goals instead of seeking a temporary escape in social media. I have a couple of projects in mind that should allow me to earn more money and thus be able to leave jobs that bring me little satisfaction, leave me exhausted, and only serve to help me survive each day.
Giving myself quality time to rest, sit under a tree, go more often to be near the sea. Nature heals us and can recharge our energy, but what’s best right now is to go with a calm and unhurried mind, live in the present, and not be overwhelmed by life's challenges or everything that survival entails.
I don't believe I can reach the maximum of my being in this life; in fact, I think almost no one truly knows who they are in their purest essence. It's likely that we are capable of doing things far beyond what we believe.
I don't believe that in this life I can reach my full potential, but what I do believe is possible is to be better every day for myself, and I can achieve this, first, by believing that it is possible, second, by having a real desire to achieve my goals, working towards them effectively, daring to do different things, knowing that doing the same old thing will keep me in the same situation.
Declaring what I want every day to maintain focus and commitment to myself.
What do you think a human being who has reached their full potential would be like?
100% creative?
100% ambidextrous?
100% photographic memory?
100% self-sufficient?
Able to teleport?
Read minds?
Would they cease to be human and join the Supreme Consciousness?
🤷♀
Thank you for joining me. I wish you good health and a dignified life.
