Books are a passion that only readers understand. Not everyone likes books or reading. I have loved reading since I was little. I remember always reading lots of stories when I was a child, as well as books about science, the moon, stars, dreams, among other things. When I was little, my entertainment was reading, or watching television, and I really liked reading.
At home, my father always bought books, especially animated books, and I read those too. In fact, those books are still at their house. As I write this, I know that I will soon go look for them. There was one history book that I loved. It had short texts with drawings. I always liked them, and they caught my attention. I tried to get my children to like them, but they were born in the age of cell phones, and it was difficult for this generation to develop a taste for reading. Now that they are older, they read more.
Since I am from a time when books were more accessible and we did not have phones back then, I love physical books. The smell of books is something inexplicable; I love that smell that books have, and when I open each page, it is like discovering a new world. I also love being able to put my bookmarks in them and have many of them. I also like to highlight them so that the parts I liked the most stand out.
Online books are complicated for me; in fact, I feel like they strain my eyes, but I've also adapted a little to reading them digitally because many of them are easier to get hold of and some are even free. In fact, I have lots of them saved on my Google Drive. I've already read some of them and still have others to read, but this is because I don't like the digital format so much. Maybe I should try a tablet; it might be more comfortable.
Among the books I most enjoy reading are those on personal growth, books that nourish the soul and spirit, motivational books, and some on personal finance. And, of course, the best book of all is the Bible, which covers every topic we could ever need. Nowadays, I don't read with as much enthusiasm as I used to, but I always try to read a book that motivates and teaches me. Right now, I'm reading Alex Hormoz's 100 Million Offer.
