La Laguna de Utracán es uno de los lugares más pintorescos y tal vez menos conocidos de la provincia de La Pampa en lo que a difusión turística se refiere.
Reconocida como Area Provincial Protegida en marzo de 2019 la Reserva Laguna de Utracán conserva una muestra de los paisajes naturales característicos pampeanos: la biodiversidad de su entorno, el bosque de caldenes y chañares, los pastizales de médano tan comunes en la región causantes -por otro parte- de tantos incendios bosquivos en el verano y otras especies botánicas como el olivillo, piquillín, malva rubia, poleo y sombra de toro.
Numerosas aves se dan cita en la Laguna como el flamenco austral, el macá plateado y valiosas especies migratorias.
El objetivo principal del gobierno pampeano al declararla Area Provincial Protegida fue la conservación del paisaje natural, la educación ambiental y la posibilidad de acceder a un balneario natural sin recorrer muchos kilómetros.
Se encuentra ubicada a tan solo 10 Km. al norte de la ciudad de General Acha y a 90 Km. al sur de Santa Rosa, la capital pampeana.
En sí la Laguna de Utracán es un espejo de agua salitrosa apta para ser utilizada como balneario, como así también para la práctica de distintos deportes náuticos como el canotaje, kayak, kitesurf y otros.
Actualmente la Laguna cuenta con los siguientes servicios:

– Proveeduría
– Camping con mesas y parrillas
– Cancha de fútbol
– Juegos para niños
– Sanitarios con agua caliente.
– Wi Fi libre
Su nombre definitivo es Reserva Natural Municipal Laguna de Utracán y hace parte del Sistema Provincial de Áreas Protegidas.

The Utracán Lagoon is one of the most picturesque and perhaps least known places in the province of La Pampa in terms of tourist diffusion.
Recognized as a Provincial Protected Area in March 2019, the Laguna de Utracán Reserve preserves a sample of the characteristic natural landscapes of the Pampas: the biodiversity of its surroundings, the forest of caldenes and chañares, the grasslands of Medano so common in the region causing - on the other part of so many forest fires in the summer and other botanical species such as olivillo, piquillín, blond mallow, pennyroyal and bull shadow.
Many birds come together in the Lagoon, such as the southern flamingo, the silver macá and valuable migratory species.
The main objective of the Pampas government when declaring it a Provincial Protected Area was the conservation of the natural landscape, environmental education and the possibility of accessing a natural spa without traveling many kilometers.
It is located just 10 km north of the city of General Acha and 90 km south of Santa Rosa, the capital of Pampas.
The Utracán Lagoon itself is a mirror of salty water suitable for use as a spa, as well as for practicing various water sports such as boating, kayaking, kitesurfing and others.
