Land Card Update
It is time to publish a land card update post. I don't know how many of you land players of Splinterlands got a full grasp of it, but I don't. Yet, over the last couple of days I am trying to get my head around to the problem based on the Medium post! By the way, a medium post is fine, it is good for external audience, but why there is no hive post? The same could be copy-pasted at hive (,
). The post is good and with beaker's Land-SPL tool, I think I am beginning to have a good understanding of the process involved.
The easiest place to go is to click to the Player Overview, and in the box, you can type your IGN. I have mine turned on here. The land card is an unique sale first, and it is a two step process. Here for the first time, players will be able to craft a card by themselves using their land resources. Also, this is a gated two step process. Step 1: will be a limited allocation and ability to craft cards based on ones base Production Power (PP) of held cards. Step 2: will be a limited first-come-first-serve ability to craft cards based on your available land resources, after the step 1 allocation is complete.
The screenshot above shows my Base PP = 6.91M. That translates to 1.13% of total base PP available at Splinterlands (only land I am guessing?). Based on that asset allocation, I will be allowed to craft a max of the following land cards if I choose to:
Common = 1138, or 2 Max RF + 338 CC
Rare = 204, or 1 Max RF + 89 CC
Epic = 68, or 1 Max RF + 22 CC
Legendary = 11, or 1 Max RF (exactly)
That is 5 total max RF cards in the first 3 days. After that, I can craft as many as I want as long as I have resources, and cards are available. Following are the maximum number of cards:
Common — 100,000 CC, or 250 Max RF
Rare — 18,000 CC, or 156 Max RF
Epic — 6,000 CC, or 130 Max RF
Legendary — 1,000 CC, or 90 Max RF
Observations
There are 3 critical tables on this post.
Chart 1 or Table 1: Enhanced Base Production Power
| Rarity | RF (at max) | GF (at max) | BF | GFA | BFA |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Legendary | 3000 | 12500 | 25000 | 12500 | 25000 |
| Epic | 2500 | 7500 | 15000 | 7500 | 15000 |
| Rare | 2200 | 5000 | 10000 | 5000 | 10000 |
| Common | 2000 | 2500 | 5000 | 2500 | 5000 |
Chart 2 or Table 2: Estimated Costs - Preliminary
| Rarity | 1 CC Resource | 1 CC Cinder | 1 CC Target USD | Max Copy Resource | Max Copy Cinder | Max Copy USD at peg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 20k Grain | 375 | $0.50 | 8M Grain | 150k | $200 |
| Rare | 30k Wood | 1,875 | $2.50 | 3.45M Wood | 215.625k | $287.50 |
| Epic | 7,500 Aura / 15k Stone / 50k Grain | 5,625 | $7.50 | 345k Aura / 690k Stone / 2.3M Grain | 258.75k | $345 |
| Legendary | 50k Aura / 40k Iron | 37,500 | $50 | 550k Aura / 440k Iron | 412.5k | $550 |
Chart 3 or Table 3: Total Resources Potentially Burned
| Rarity | 1 CC Resource | 1 CC Cinder | # of copies | # of total Resources | DEC value | Cinder Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 20k Grain | 375 | 100,000 | 2B Grain | 25m DEC-Grain | 37.5m |
| Rare | 30k Wood | 1,875 | 18,000 | 540m Wood | 22.5m DEC-Wood | 33.75m |
| Epic | 7,500 Aura / 15k Stone / 50k Grain | 5,625 | 6,000 | 45m Aura / 90m Stone / 300m Grain | $1,250 / 7.2m DEC-Stone / 4m DEC-Grain | 33.75m |
| Legendary | 50k Aura / 40k Iron | 37,500 | 1,000 | 50m Aura / 40m Iron | $12,500 / 12.6m DEC-Iron | 37.5m |
| Total | - | - | - | 2.3B Grain / 540m Wood / 90m Stone / 95m Aura / 40m Iron | $23,750 | 142.5m |
Let us not worry about Table 3 (titled Chart 3 in Medium post), because that is most speculative. It makes assumptions on price and also assumptions on all cards will be sold. If the second happens, the price can't remain flat, in fact with a 9.3B of grain stash that Praetoria accumulated in total, if you really burn 2B grain, the price of grain should be much higher than it is right now.
How much Cinder?
Cinder is a new product. Cinder is essentially a "burn yield" generated from sacrificing (burning) eligible older cards in the game. Cinder is produced by burning old cards... Cinder is not transferable and is equal to 1.5 times the CP (Collection Power) of any card in Splinterlands that is burnable for DEC.
If I take Chaos Legion cards for most likely candidate for burning for Cinder, then we get the following table:
Max Chaos Legion Regular Foil Collection Power (CP) per Maxed Card
| Rarity | Copies Needed (BCX) | Base CP per Copy | Total CP (with 5% Max Level Bonus) | Cinder (1.5x Total CP) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 400 | 5 | 2,100 | 3,150 |
| Rare | 115 | 20 | 2,415 | 3,622.5 |
| Epic | 46 | 100 | 4,830 | 7,245 |
| Legendary | 11 | 500 | 5,775 | 8,662.5 |
Following are the Cinder requirement for each Land Rarity type cards for a max copy.
When I consult this chart and Table 2 above:
Cinder Requirements for Your Land Card Goals
Based on Chart 2, the Cinder costs per single CC (copy) of a Land Card are:
- Common: 375 Cinder per CC
- Rare: 1,875 Cinder per CC
- Epic: 5,625 Cinder per CC
- Legendary: 37,500 Cinder per CC
I get the following max allocation during the 3 day first round:
- Common: 1,138 CC (2 max RF + 338 CC)
- Rare: 204 CC (1 max RF + 89 CC)
- Epic: 68 CC (1 max RF + 22 CC)
- Legendary: 11 CC (1 max RF exactly)
Total Cinder Needed by Rarity
| Rarity | Total CC Needed | Cinder per CC | Total Cinder Needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 1,138 | 375 | 426,750 |
| Rare | 204 | 1,875 | 382,500 |
| Epic | 68 | 5,625 | 382,500 |
| Legendary | 11 | 37,500 | 412,500 |
| Total | 1,421 | - | 1,604,250 |
Burning Max RF Common Chaos Cards for Cinder
I was just thinking about commons, because I have a stash of 190 max common RF accumulated already, and I thought that will be enough! Boy! I was wrong!
A single maxed (level 4) Chaos Legion Regular Foil (RF) Common card yields 3,150 Cinder when burned (1.5 × 2,100 CP, including the 5% max-level bonus).
To produce 1,604,250 Cinder:
- Exact number needed: ≈509.29 maxed cards
- Practical Number: Burn 510 full maxed cards (yielding 1,606,500 Cinder, with a small surplus of 2,250).
I am short 510 - 190 = 320 Max Common RF cards!
This is a lot of arithmetic ............ please check if my math is wrong!
