Hi all,
Just released a new update on the land tool.
It is a pretty big one and also a beta release so yes there are some disclaimers attached.
If you do not want to read the complete post you can directly head over to the site to find the latest released updates.

Whatβs New
New features
- Fix Bloodline alert
- Updated planner with simulation of the 100k base PP cap
- Add Playground a new way of land planning
Technical updates
- Fix error on refresh cache that caused charts not to load new data
So letβs walk over all the features one by one.
Fix Bloodline Alerts
There was a wrong assumption in how the bloodline boost worked.
The alert assumed that when you only had one bloodline unit on a plot the boost would be filled but the bloodline PP would not. Unfortunately this was not the case.
In reality both values were zero so the bloodline alert would never trigger.
I reworked this logic completely.
Now the system analyzes the player cards instead of form a deed point of view.
First it checks if there is any card with a bloodline boost on land.
Then it checks if on the same plot there is another card with the same bloodline.
If not it looks up the plot and pushes an alert.
This approach seems to work a lot better.
Unfortunately this also means I can no longer do this globally for all players.
Each player will need to check this for themselves which is a tradeoff I am okay with.
Updated Planner 100k Base PP Cap Simulation
At first I did not want to bother implementing this.
Players can think for themselves and the warning was already shown when going over the cap.
After a question and discussion with and in combination with the new planning method this became a necessary update to keep the planner accurate.
I also had the implementation wrong initially.
A short chat on Discord helped me get to what I believe is now the correct logic.
This is another great example of how smart and helpful the Splinterlands community really is β€οΈ
The key takeaway is that the cap is determined per card slot and not on the total plot output.
The first slot that goes over the base 100k PP will be capped and this can affect the following slots.
In some setups only the last card is affected.
In others multiple slots can be impacted depending on the configuration.
The funny part about this method (also at first I did not anticipated) that the runi is still added on top of the 100K
Playground New Land Planning Method (Beta)
This is the biggest feature of this release and it is very much a beta.
Not everything will work perfectly and there are many things that still need refinement.
I released it early to get feedback and see if this is going in the right direction and if it is worth continuing development.
This feature introduces a completely different way of planning land.
It started with a Discord discussion with and
about how difficult it is to manage land for big land owners.
Vugtis shared a spreadsheet he uses and that became the starting point for this page.
Later I found out that is the original creator of that sheet so big shoutout to both of them for sharing how they approach land management.
How it works
When you enter your player name the tool fetches all deed data card data and inventory items.
It then presents the current overview in an Excel like layout.
You will see a summary of current output and which inventory items like totems and titles are being used.
A small note for the very big whales.
Loading the data can take some time.
If you get an error please retry.
I was able to load vugtis data so it should work for everyone i guess π
Inventory overview
On the left you see the inventory items that are currently selected.
On the right you see the items you own.
When you select more then you own then it will turn red:
Simulation view
There are two simulations shown.
One reflects the current setup.
The other updates live as you make changes so you immediately see the impact.
Filters
At the moment there is only a location filter.
This is an area I definitely want to expand later with card based filtering at minimum.
Plot list and planning
You get a full list of all your plots with current workers and items filled in.
On smaller screens you may need to zoom out using (ctrl -) or use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom.
Any changes you make to plots are immediately reflected in the updated simulation section. For the Card that you can select are the available card that are not already assigned to land sorted of the highest base PP descending.
Exporting changes
After making your changes you can export them.
This part is still rough but it should give you a clear working list of what you need to do in Splinterlands itself.

Final Thoughts
That wraps up this update.
Let me know what you honestly think about the Playground feature.
Is it useful for you or not at all.
All feedback is welcome and will determine if I continue working on this.
For full transparency I am a relatively small land owner with 53 plots and I manage perfectly fine without this feature. But I know that is very different for larger land holders, so let me hear your thoughts.
