I might be wrong,but I think suicide isn't accepted because your life isn't yours to take. It's for this same reason that murder is equally frowned upon. I can't say for a fact where people who OD on drugs end up, that's really not for me to decide.
While I haven't seen God physically, I can say that his presence, his hand in my affairs have been felt personally.
