I have similar experiences.
My dad was a PM in the nuclear power industry. He raked in lots of money, and was a sort of caricature of the playboy sailor -- a woman in every port.
Every time I visited him I would meet a different woman, sometimes two -- that he was seeing behind each other.
The fact that I can marry one woman and remain loyal to her is down to my Mother who drummed the benefits of monogamy into my head since I was like 8.
My life was like a ping-pong ball -- my parents used to use me as a weapon.
Once I grew up from all that bullshit the stress seemed to fade away. And I realise in a way, I had quite unique experiences that not many other people have.
I'll take it as that lol.
