The Ravage
She sips liquor and becomes weak to the extent of not having the mind to move further. Marvel never knew the gravity of what she had taken, not until she was seeing double and without knowing what was happening, slept off in the woods. The possibility of continuity was absurd, but she must continue to save her land.
A town was inflicted with a disease that they have been looking for ways to cure. No one has been able to come up with something tangible but has been under the rock of this dangerous disease.
Marvel is the only one who is chosen to go for the adventure. Although, everyone had been doubting her power being a female. She later went alongside Sedric. It was a rough journey to the woods just to search for the cure to the disease. On their way, they saw a three-faced rock which signifies the different directions they have to follow. Marvel is a stubborn type and does not want anyone to dictate to him.
Sedric was arguing with Marvel to go in the direction that faced the south, but Marvel objected and followed the direction that faced the east. They both followed different directions.
When Sedric went and could not locate any tangible forest, he turned back but could not locate the road which led him to where he was coming from. The only thing to get the cure is to see a forest which is filled with heavy and mighty trees, but the one he was does not have these qualities.
Marvel, on the other hand, went straight to the forest but was unable to see what she was looking for. She became tired just because of hunger. She was instructed not to eat anything until she was out of the forest. Marvel saw a huge tree which happened to be dripping out white sap which was very thick. She remembered the type of tree they would take it from. So, she brought out her can which was tied to her neck. The can was something like a five-litre can. She placed it in one of the paths that were gushing out so fast and then filled up the can.
She was done and turned back to leave when she saw two wolves right beside her. The wolves do get scared of the sap but she was not aware of this fact. She began to run but without strength and the two wolves were following her. When she got to a distance, she did not know what to do next but later fell which made some of the sap pour out. The sap splashed the body of the wolves which caused them to disappear immediately. She was happy as she had been free from the wolves.
She got to the forest from her hometown three days ago but now it is taking her more than four days and yet still in the forest touring around and coming back to the same spot where she fetched the sap. After the tour, she b came tired and decided to drink water from a stream. The water was very pure and truly looked just like water. She drank from it and was unable to walk properly. It was just as if the water was not water but alcohol. She became intoxicated and dizzy.
She fell asleep and was unable to wake up at that moment. David, who was banned from the land just because of the sins of his parents, saw her and decided to help her regain her strength. David had become the king of the jungle and knew the in and out of the forest. He gave Marvel a deep from the sap she was carrying, and she got revived. Marvel was surprised to see a young man beside her and then, David had carried her out of the forest without Marvel's knowledge.
David told her the reason he was sent to the forest and those who set him up. So, Marvel promised to bring him back.
If you can save me from this deadly forest without harming me, then someone must have set you up to have ended in this forest. I will make sure to bring you back to your home. I will send people to this three-faced rock to bring you home in the next few days.
David replied I have heard you and will.be waiting for you.
Marvel was on her way home when she saw Sedric seated beside the road helpless. They were very happy to see each other again.
This was how the two went home to present the sap they were sent to bring. The people of the land were saved from the immediate disease.
Marvel later brought out the issue related to David in the presence of the King since she was given an option to choose whatever she wished for in the community. She chose to save David. After this, everyone was very excited to have seen Marvel and Sedric once again.
This was how David was brought back to the land and those responsible were punished.
