This is my view now....
and I just wrote this #thoughtfuldailypost poem just because. Life is good, I am thoughtful and grateful. Yes life is good even when times are tough.
I remember leaving last year
I'll not forget the months in between
There has happened so much in the world
Covid took over and took lives.
I can’t erase the things Unfortunately
But, today I got your ray of sunlight again
I catched it On my phone
My day just started 2 minutes ago
and it feels like I am at home
I've missed this place alot
since I've been gone
I've always loved coming here
I've never skipped a year.
I was here after I got married and while pregnant
I missed seeing the calm water when I am not here
coming home is here during summer
coming home to my lovely friends
coming home to be a daughter to my father
and a dear friend , to you lake garda
coming home and seeing this view
coming home got to be the best here
I missed May because of the virus
But, I won't have to miss you anymore
I wasn't sure if we could go,
But sitting here at 7 am
My hart feels the warmth
Of the parents nest and the Italian vibe.
Things have changed
Things will be new and maybe for a few years the new normal.
I know this will be tough on some
I can only promise that I'll try to be here again next year
And hope that can be without the masks
But your ray of light dear Italy : it will be enough !
I've thought about you every day
You're in my heart and soul
I'm coming home to you my love
And then together with the family and friends, we are whole and healing from the past

It all started a few months ago in this area.the area I grew up in during the summer because my parents and family resides here. When it started Bergamo was hit hard many people including friends of my dads lost their live to Covid-19. Long it wasn’t sure what would be the best thing to do this summer. My parents went to be here because at home we weren’t allowed to visit either. So being here was better while the weather is great here. Now we are all here. My brother, his wife with the big expecting belly, we are one again on the spot where we all feel the love. Where we see the resilience of the Italian people we so appreciate. We are so fortunate and happy to be here,
