"Huftt!" Huftt! I have to hurry!
Mia took large, quick and hurried steps. The speed she showed seemed to arise caused by another energy coming from her innermost soul. Today she had a planned job interview at a construction company in the downtown. The meeting was to be held at 07:30 am. However, an undesirable situation occurred. In the evening, Mia forgot to set her alarm clock for the morning, making her forget to wake up on time. Being late to get ready, she also missed the public bus that would take her to her interview.
She glanced at her watch "Oh my! It's already 08:17 am! I'll definitely be judged badly by the employees there for being totally late on the day of the job interview!" she quickened her pace and finally arrived at her company's building.
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
The atmosphere inside the interview room was very awkward. Nothing but the sound of the wall clock ticking rhythmically filled the silent room. Mia's once neat and well-dressed appearance was now ruined by sweat. The interviewers' reactions to her were also very bad at first glance.
The interview session began. The interviewers asked Mia questions about her motivation to work for the company and some personal questions about the reason for her tardiness. After explaining it rationally, she was finally able to convince the interviewers that this mess was just an accident.
She left the company feeling somewhat relieved and took a quick glance at the watch in her hand, "For God's sake! Why is time going so fast! I need to find a present as soon as possible!" Mia was shocked to find that it was already 10:11 am. She remembered that the second agenda she had for the day was to attend a birthday party for one of her nieces.
The event was supposed to start at 10:00 am. However, because Mia had been delayed in getting an interview at her company, it affected her next agenda. Now she desperately searching for a gift for her niece in the downtown, she managed to find a small teddy bear and quickly wrapped it up.
Mia quickly ordered a taxi to a residential area on the suburban. When she arrived, she saw that her little niece had cut the cake and had received many gifts from her friends. She approached her.
"Happy birthday Sophia, here's a little present from me!" Mia handed her the present feeling both happy and tired.
"Mia you're late! I was planning to give you the first piece of my cake! You don't know how much I was expecting you right next to me to blow out the candles and cut the cake together!" the little girl let out a little anger.
Guiltily, Mia pleaded "I'm sorry dear! I had a little trouble on the way I’m here, I promise I won't do it again! I'll also stay here with you until the party is over!" They crossed their fingers together and Sophia looked relieved by it all.
After a while, Mia went to reflect on her mistakes in Sophia's family's bathroom. She washed her messy face and stared at the mirror for a long time. "What a messy morning! All the activities I expected didn't go the way I wanted! I messed up my interview session and I let my niece down on her special day! I'm really sloppy!"
Her inner conflict finally came to a solution. She thought that all of this happened because Mia didn't plan all of her daily agenda to the fullest, as a result everything went awry. She promised that today she would make a daily schedule and would be serious about not being careless anymore like forgetting to set the alarm in the morning.
