Warmest greetings to all
Mr. and Mrs. Benard
Mr. and Mrs. Benard, newly wedded couples, are doing well by the grace of God, struggling to make sure they survive. Mr. Benard and his wife were into business. Mr. Benard sells clothes at the market, and his wife sells tables at the market. Both of them were doing well and managing the little they had without any problems. Their business kept growing and improving, all to the glory of God, and they were happy for that
First Pregnancy
All of a sudden, Bernard's wife becomes pregnant. That was how she started to fall sick all the time. Mr. Bernard was busy spending money on his sick wife, but it kept on getting worse and worse, taking her from one hospital to the next, but there were no changes. That was how she lost the pregnancy. To the extent Mr. Benard became confused, he didn't know what to do anymore but still hoped on God as the author and finisher of his faith. The doctor kept referring them to different hospitals and that was how money kept on going. He tried his best till his wife became strong and healthy, then their business hard collapsed. They had to raise capital again to start over within the space of two months. They were okay and balanced
Second Pregnancy
(Center>
Mr. Benard's wife became pregnant again the second time, but now she was strong and they were happy for the pregnancy. She took the pregnancy run test and registered at the hospital where she normally went for check up every week till she would give birth. That was how she managed till the day of her delivery. Mr. Benard was so confused because of the way his wife was crying and shouting. Most of us know how women normally behave at their delivery time. Mr. Benard tried all possible things and immediately took his wife to the theatre. All things were done for her to put to birth. But the baby refused to come out. The doctor came out with just one opinion, which is operation. He called Mr. Benard and told him the recent matter on the ground.
Mr. Benard was more confused and asked the doctor the cost of the operation. The doctor told him that it would cost him much. That the operation would cost him one hundred and eighty thousand naira (#180,000). That was a huge sum of money for Mr. Benard. Where could he get such an amount of money from knowing that it was not long until he brought his wife from the hospital, which cost him much. Then the doctor told him to be fast about the money, else he would lose his wife. Mr. Benard, who loved her. He didn't want to lose her.
Mr. Benard's Decision
Then Mr. Bernard came up with the decision of selling his house properties. He sold his chairs, television, bed, the bike he was managing and some other things. The money was raised and immediately the operation commenced. His wife was operated upon and the baby was brought out alive. She survived the operation. She was discharged and they returned home. When she entered the house, she discovered that many properties were not inside. She asked her husband about the properties but he told her that they had been sold out just to make sure money was raised.
The Regret
Mr. Benard and his wife were inside till night. When it was time for them to sleep, there was no bed for them to sleep in. Then Mr. Bernard's screen ah God, what type of life is this? Why has I offended anyone? His wife had already laid her wrapper on the ground so they could sleep. The whole night, Mr. Bernard couldn't sleep. He was regretting why he had sold his bed. But there was nothing he could do but bear whatever was happening.
The next morning, his landlord came asking for his house rent but he told him to give him some time so he could raise the money for his house rent, which the landlord did. When he got in, he discussed it with his wife. Then he cried. The wife asked him why he was crying. Then he told her when you met me was this how I was. I have exhausted all I have. I have sold out all my properties. I am left with nothing to write home about.
But indeed, everything about Me Benard was exhausted within a space of some months. His wife was sick, his business was down, and there was no money to start up again. I prayed this would not be our situation.
