"Jess, I want that yellow dress at the shop over there for prom," Annie told her bestie, Jessica, as they stood side by side waiting for the bus.

"I can't see any yellow dress being displayed, just a blue dress that's super long and cute," Jessica observed.
"Wait, why are you not wearing your glasses?" She asked
Annie reluctantly wears her glasses and stares at the displayed dress which was now a pale blue in her eyes.
"Don't worry Annie, there aren't many beautiful colors in the world, and being color blind is not the end of the world. Thank goodness you can still see," Jessica said.
"If that was meant to comfort me, it's doing the exact opposite," Annie said with an eye roll.
Jessica's laughter rang through the place.
"Well, at least you now know that anytime you see yellow without your glasses, it's actually blue," Jessica said
"Well, what if I see blue does that indicate yellow as well," Annie asked
"Well, there's only one way to find out.
On Saturday we're both going to be free and I'll ask for a color chart from a nearby store. Then we'll sit together and try to identify the colors so we'll know how bad your situation is," Jess suggested.
"Isn't it better to just see an optician," Annie asked.
"Well, it is if you want to sit in the boring office of a doctor, get asked millions of questions like you are in detention, and pay thousands of dollars for a single diagnosis," Jess said in one breath
"Well, you are sort of exaggerating but I'll give you a thumbs up for successfully convincing me to come to your house on Saturday and for also convincing me to stand in the sun waiting for a bus when my dad's Ford would have done a great job," Annie said sarcastically.
"At least, we are bonding," Jess said with an awkward smile.
"Yeah, like hydrogen and oxygen to form water," Annie said and they both burst out laughing.
Soon, a bus stopped by their side and they got in and made their way home.
The week went by quickly and soon it was Saturday. Annie was dressed in pants and a crop top with a sweater. She rushed out of the house and walked briskly to where her chauffeur was waiting for her with her car in high spirits.
The car came to a halt in front of Jessica's house and she left after telling her chauffeur she would take the bus home. They had fun all day and discovered that Annie had problems identifying blue, yellow, and various shades of red without her glasses.
That didn't stop them though from walking into clothing stores and admiring the beautiful dresses they had. They got some food to eat and went to the movies afterward.
When it was evening, Annie decided to take a cab home instead of waiting for the bus. A cab stopped in front of her and she got in. The door of the cab was blue while every other part was black. Which meant the door was actually yellow since she was not wearing her glasses.
When she got in, she noticed the driver was wearing a mask.
"Here I was thinking covid-19 was over,' she thought to herself and chuckled silently thinking he was a scared cat.
The ride began and as the car moved, her eyelids became heavier and heavier till they closed up completely and she blacked out. She woke up with a heavy head and pain in her joints.
Her hand pressed against the hard floor for support and she gently got up. She looked around and everywhere was pitch black. She was inside a room.
The door to the room was slightly open and there was a faint light coming from outside. Annie quietly crawled out trying not to make any sound and hid behind the curtains.
"We have your daughter with us sir and she would be released when we get one million dollars in our account," she gasped as she heard one of them say that on the phone.
No doubt, they were talking to her father.
"You have 24 hours," he concluded and hung up.
Annie walked round carefully and tried to take the phone and escape
"Hey you, make sure the kid is intact, okay." One of them said
"Don't worry about her, she was pretty knocked up when we came in,"
Annie got the phone and snuck out of the house.
She hurriedly dialed 911 and called
"Please, I was kidnapped. I don't know where I am," she said panting heavily
"Ok ma'am, calm down, can you please tell us your last location and any other useful detail," the police officer asked
"Yes, I was at Churchill Street and I took a black cab with a yellow door from there.
The place I'm in right now has a large pile of trash and....... argh," she screamed as she was tossed to the side.
" Ma'am, are you ok?" The officer kept asking until the phone call was cut.
"You... little...." The guy who was kidnapped was furious.
He held her hands roughly and was about to take her away when the police surrounded them. They had called the officers closest to the place she described and soon found the car she described.
The other kidnappers were also arrested and she was taken to meet her parents safely who were already planning to send the money.
