Hello, Hive writers. This exercise I had forgotten about but I'm on time to show it. Day 6 in fast and furious. Create a character. This is my entry for day sixth of the Fast and Furious Festival. If you want to know what it's all about check out The Ink Well Fast and Furious Festival - Day Six.

Task:

Imagine what this new character is like, start to describe them or their surroundings, their likes and dislikes, what they want ... but in the voice of the character. So use the first person "I" and write as if you are the character. Take them for a walk, meet someone ...

What do you notice about your character? Did they develop the way that you thought they would? What is their voice like? Is it different to yours? Include your thoughts about your character in your post.

I'm Victoria. I'm forty-seven years old. I'm a lawyer and in the real estate business. I was married in my thirties and then divorced because my husband was a loser, a man with no vision who only wanted children. I don't have children and I'm happy. For me, happiness is achieved with economic and professional success. First, to have money and other things comes later.

I graduated when I was twenty-two years old. I started working in a law firm with very well-known partners. Then, I got married ("it was a mistake") because I loved Carlos. It was a mistake because we were able to meet first by living together without getting married. But as I said, "I was in love".

Before my divorce, my professional career was going very well but after I got divorced I have done much better. Now, I have my law firm. Also, I like art and I have been investing in some works that will soon be revalued and I will be able to auction them.

In my future plans, I want to take a trip to Europe to visit the best restaurants and go to museums and art galleries. "Life is whatever I want it to be. No one will stop me until I make it on the cover of Forbes Magazine as the most successful woman of the year."

Victoria's character is very different from mine. I think I hate her. She is an arrogant and unscrupulous woman. She doesn't stop to think about others. She only thinks about money and believes that money and fame are all she needs to be happy.

I'm a very emotional person (maybe too much!). I don't believe that happiness comes from money but it is clear to me that money is necessary to acquire material things.

I think that having children is a gift from God and life. They are an extension of us and a challenge to make them grow up free, independent, happy, secure, and with good values.

If I had Victoria's economic success I would try to do humanitarian works and I would donate part of my money to cultural and sports ONG's.

Her voice is not mine.

I like this character because she has a great personality. She wouldn't get lost in a story. There may be something in her past that justifies her present and way of being. I would have to write the story, hahahahaha.
