Samantha
It was a warm spring day in April 2016 and Samantha, whom everyone called "La loca", used to sit every day at 4:00 pm on a bench in front of the Güaiqueri park, this park was located in the city of Cumaná Sucre State. Many years ago Samantha had lost her baby and was upset with the loss of her only daughter, she was only able to have her for 8 months, until a large explosion destroyed the building where she lived, which was located downtown. from the city.
In that fire there was a very traumatic moment, everyone screamed when they saw the flames, they ran desperately trying to save themselves, and Samantha screamed a lot because she did not see her daughter in her crib, the smoke did not let her breathe well and she had to leave as soon as possible . A few years passed and her Samantha practically lived in the park and she looked at the children with such longing that she even spoke to herself, she had been upset.
Samantha in her torture thought that she still had her baby in her arms, she always carried a doll with her and said: "Hello my love, I know that you are here with me my life, I know that you do not abandon me, my little one, my baby quote ", look how cute you are !. Samantha sang saying: My love my sweetheart, my love my sweetheart, turururururu, so beautiful my girl, what beautiful eyes you have. She suddenly she let out a laugh that wouldn't stop sounding. "Jajajjajajjajajjajajja" - so beautiful my baby.
Everyone who looked at her in the park made fun of her in a crazy way and said: "She is crazy" and laughed at her, but there was always a little dog by her side who defended her, and Samantha called him Lufi. Every time they approached her to bother her, Lufi her puppy barked desperately for a long time and only then did her mockers withdraw from her and stop bothering her.
One day Samantha was as always on the bench in front of the park, there were many children, and suddenly Samantha was staring at a girl, she was very beautiful with blonde hair and blue eyes, just like the baby she had lost. She suddenly approached the girl and said: "Hello, I'm crazy Samantha" hahahahahahaha. That laugh made the girl smile and then she asked her name and her age, the girl replied: "My name is Clara and I am 8 years old."
Sintia, Clara's mother when she saw her talking to Samantha was upset, and furious she said:
Clara, what are you doing talking to this crazy woman? I have always told you not to talk to strangers, we immediately leave the park. The girl Clara started to cry because she did not want to leave, but her mother was holding her annoyingly by the arm and said: Let's go!, And she turned to the bench looking at Samantha saying in a mocking way: Crazy! .
At that moment it began to rain, the park was lonely and everyone left. Samantha stayed on the bench in the rain, she didn't have a place to live, but she made her feel hungry and cold and she walked a lot looking for shelter and where to eat. She stopped at a church which was located in the historic center of the City of Cumaná, it was the Santa Inés church. There she met Moisés who was the priest, he was moved by the state in which she was, said: Daughter, what are you doing at this time in the street and in the rain? And she answered: "I am very hungry and very cold" . The lightnings began to sound, she was frozen with wrinkled hands, then the priest took pity on her when he saw her like that, invited Samantha to enter the church and said: "Come, I think I have something for you, let's go quickly."
Samantha with her eyes full of nostalgia took Moises's hand and stood up, but she suddenly began to laugh out loud. He prepared a coat for her, gave her clothes to change out of and gave her shelter in a room that the church had, gave her food and she fell asleep. At dawn, Miguel the priest went to bring her something to eat but Samantha was no longer there. As usual she went to the park as she did every day and she suddenly saw the girl Clara, her eyes were filled with joy. This time Clara's mother was not in the park, Francisco, her father was there, he was a very busy man and received calls all the time, the phone rang and rang, he had to answer the call, and at that moment Samantha approached him to the girl and said: Do you want to go for a walk ?, and Clara answered: Where are you taking me? Samantha with a smile told her that she would take her to a very beautiful place, and the girl was so full of curiosity that she went with her.
Samantha took her to a place in the city where there were many flowers of all colors, and Clara, happy to see that beautiful garden, thanked her, then Samantha gave her a rose and said: "so that you always remember me". At that moment the police siren was heard, the girl was scared and began to cry. Samantha carried her and ran with her to the Iglesia Santa Inés, right there where she met the priest Miguel, she knew that there she got help from her. In the same way the police found her, and Francisco was there desperate and scared, he said to Clara, taking her by the hand: My daughter, what did this crazy woman do to you?
- Nothing daddy just showed me some flowers! Look at the rose she gave me! I hugged her tightly and at that moment Miguel came out and said: What's happening? with a shocked face. When he saw Samantha she commented: What have you done Samantha ?, then she kneeling on the floor began to cry and scream loudly saying: She is my daughter! , she's my daughter!.
The priest, very moved by her tears, lifted her from the floor and told the police to leave her alone, that he knew her and that she was only a little sick in the head. Francisco left with the girl and the police. Then Miguel invited her to come back to church and, talking with Samantha, he learned her true story.
Samantha told Miguel about that fire that she could not stop remembering, she told him that in that tragic moment she ran to look for her baby in her crib and when she did not get it, her desperation made her believe that the baby's blankets were burning In flames they had burned with her daughter, and she told him that she felt that her heart announced to her that Clara was her daughter. Miguel was amazed and anguished with Du story and the truth is discovered thanks to him. In the church there was a very long list of a group of orphaned children and Miguel used to renew it every time families arrived to adopt the children, it was an agreement that the church had signed with the State.
Miguel curiously reviewed the list and was surprised when he saw Clara's name, he remembered that moment of the police when the girl's father appeared in church to look for Clara. It was there that Miguel remembered her face well and the day that Francisco and Sintia adopted the girl, he remembered her when they took her in her arms for adoption when she was two years old.
Francisco and Sintia used to go to church every year-end to celebrate Christmas, but the Santa Inés church was undergoing restructuring for some time, they had to renew part of the walls and columns due to an earthquake that occurred in the city. After a month they planned a trip to France to visit her parents as Sintia's mother was not in good health and they had to live with her for a couple of years to help her until she recovered. From time to time Sintia took the girl for a walk and every time they passed near a park Clara remembered Samantha's laugh and that flower that she had given her when they walked together. Time passed and then they decided to return to the City of Cumaná where They lived on November 14, 2020, by then Clara was 12 years old.
December was approaching and one day Clara said to her mother: Mommy, do you remember when we went to Christmas parties at church? - Yes, daughter of course! , - "I want us to be there this year mommy, you know I like the songs they sing in the choir and Christmas is a very beautiful time". Time passed and December finally arrived, everything was decorated in the beautiful church and the most surprising of all is that Samantha was already totally changed and restored, Priest Miguel for 4 years was very close to her helping her, he cooperated a lot with the activities in church and began rehearsing with the choir. Samantha had overcome that disorder through music, she went through many tests and had a surprising renewal. Her spirit was joyful, however her heart always hoped to feel her daughter close to her, her heart told him that she was alive. Thanks to the priest she was able to save herself from that abyss and knowing her story and researching a lot about her she was able to discover that Clara was her true daughter, Samantha was not wrong.
That day of the celebration of the birth of Jesus in the church on Christmas Eve, Clara was in the church pew with her parents Francisco and Sintia, she listened to the choir interpret the "Alleluia of Handel", that sound of all those voices was They listened surprisingly and suddenly Clara stared at a girl who was on the corner, she couldn't believe it, she could recognize Samantha's face and at the end of the chorus she clapped loudly and ran towards her and said: Do you remember from my? I'm Clara! Samantha, with tears on her face, I hug her tightly and right next to the altar was a bouquet of roses, Clara took one and gave it to her with a smile saying: Stop you always remember me, I knew you were not crazy, Merry Christmas!. At that moment Samantha smiled a lot and she remembered that day when she took her to the flower garden, she was moved and she would not stop crying.
The mother's instinct always spoke by itself and although both did not yet know the truth, they became great friends. Perhaps one day Sintia will decide to give it to her, since she was overwhelmed with that hug they had in the Church.
The end.
