In a busy tech office, I struggled with the difficulty of my unit. I was clueless about the nuts and bolts that help the tech world. Being a company and one that belonged to someone very close to me, three months in the company was a challenge to me.
This was a noticeable one as the CEO complained numerous times but our rapport led him to hire an experienced expert in the field in order for me to gain the experience I needed.
As she was employed, I slowly began getting the knowledge and the team transformed from what it used to be into a dance of bolts and nuts as I found where I belonged. The camaraderie that existed among us added a unique layer to our unit. She head wasn't the bossy type but one who was ready and passionate to teach others.
The joy I found among people of like mind was ephemeral when an unexpected incident arose. The high cost of transportation surged, taking over almost half of my salary.
"Please sir, I can't keep up with the high costs," I told my boss, making sure the weight of the effect was felt in my words.
His response was more like a discouragement even though I understood why he sounded that way. "I understand, but this rise in transportation is affecting all businesses and employees still weather this situation and try to adapt to it."
After all effort to see how I can manage the challenge to no avail, I had to halt the job and search for an alternative. With the knowledge I acquired from the company, it helped me in getting a job in a small firm which through the firm I was about to walk from scratch alongside the owner. It was a nice beginning and a journey of self-learning.
