Eugenia and Sebastian are on vacation, they both retired a few years ago and decided to start traveling, they dream of being able to do everything that they have postponed in their lives due to work activities and raising their children. And they started this year.
They had always heard about the wonderful experience of visiting the Azores Islands, and they arrived full of expectations to San Jorge Island, they stayed in a spacious apartment that only had one room, but the best thing was the view towards the Atlantic.
That night, despite being exhausted from the trip, they couldn't stop looking out the balcony, feeling that sea breeze relaxed them, contemplating the immensity of the sea made them sigh. Although Sebastian felt a little anxious at the thought of sighting a whale, calmly contemplating the sea calmed his mind.
The next day, Eugenia woke up happy, the expectation overwhelmed her, she felt like a girl on vacation, she had wanted to make this trip so much, her friend Amanda had already done it before and recommended where to stay, and what activities to do.
In fact, it was Eugenia who got Sebastian excited to begin what she called "the perennial honeymoon years" by visiting these islands. She had already begun to feel the weight of the years, and although she did not recognize it, she was in a hurry to live the experiences of her dreams before old age prevented her.
Sebastian was happy too, but she looked euphoric, which made him smile, it had been many years since he saw her like this. For today, they have reserved an expedition around the island.
They were stunned to see all that exuberant beauty of nature, far from the paved streets, walk along the paths surrounded by so much greenery, breathe the fresh air, feel the mountainous climate, they felt like two carefree young people, they walked hand in hand like two lovers, they helped each other on the slopes, and their pupils dilated when they were in front of an incredible natural pool.

The plants seemed to welcome them, the leaves greeted them moving to the rhythm of the fresh breeze, a soft smell of vegetation was perceived everywhere, even the stones seemed to shine when touched by the warm rays of the sun. They felt in paradise.
They felt refreshed inside, their souls rejuvenated, their eyes sparkled, and they couldn't erase that splendid smile from their faces.
They were still resting by the pool area, eating a snack, when they began to feel a strong earthquake, it was so strong that it was difficult for them to walk, but they felt terrified when they noticed that there was a depression in an area of the land.
The worried face of the leader of the expedition said it all, even though the boy didn't say a word.
Everyone walked at a fast pace, trepidation invaded them from their feet, despite being tired they could not feel it because fear was stronger, especially because the ground did not stop shaking.
The tour seemed eternal, the group seemed to have fallen silent. They finally reached the transport, and from there they were taken to their residence.
Eugenia and Sebastian quickly collected everything from the room. Fortunately, they didn't have much luggage. At the reception they hastily canceled their stay and requested a transfer to the port.
In San Jorge everything was chaos, the telluric movements did not stop, the alarms were activated due to a possible volcanic eruption, the tourists wanted to leave the island to move to another, they had in mind to go to San Miguel, but the queues were endless in the port, still they had no choice but to wait.
Suddenly, they realize that Jacob, the young man who had been the leader of the expedition, was going to board a speedboat, and Sebastian dares to ask him for help to get off the island.
They were going to San Miguel Island, Sebastian offered to pay for the transfer, after all it was just him and Eugenia. The driver of the boat agreed, and gave Eugenia the life jacket, he was not prepared to receive tourists, so he did not have any other life jackets, he only went to pick up his brother Jacob.
Jacob's family lives on San Miguel Island, while he has his residence on San Jorge Island because he works there on expeditions to get to know the island. As soon as Joseph, his brother, heard what was happening, he hurriedly went looking for him.
While sailing through the waters of the Atlantic, Eugenia and Sebastian were embracing each other, they still felt a little fear for their untimely departure, but the serenity of the waters calmed their anxiety a little.
Surprisingly, they began to notice something dark under the water, and everyone was shocked when a whale jumped over the water, it was quite a sight that impressed them, not only for observing this beautiful and giant creature so closely, but also for the song characteristic.

They all stood up, it was an immediate reaction to seeing such a magnificent scene, and when they saw the whale splash, Jacob and Joseph heard a terrifying scream, it was Eugenia who saw when Sebastian lost his balance and fell into the water.
Joseph jumped in immediately, but it wasn't necessary, Sebastian came out of the water clinging to a dolphin, and then Jacob helped him into the boat, they put a warm beige blanket on him and Eugenia hugged him to keep him warm.
When they asked Sebastian how he had managed to do that, he told them that he wasn't sure, he felt a bit disoriented when he fell into the water, and it was the same dolphin that got under him, so he held on as best he could.
Upon arriving in San Miguel, Joseph and Jacob took them to look for lodging, and they said goodbye with affection, after the experience they felt very close.
Once in the room, Eugenia and Sebastian hugged each other, she cried to let off steam for the whole experience, he comforted her tenderly, and told her: _"We are together, we are alive and in love", and kissed her like a passionate young man.
