Ojukwu said loud and clear that the nation must be a confederacy. Perhaps, Yakubu does not understand the term. He accepted with a nod of his head and returned to Kivuki and reigned as a president, maintaining political powers. Silently, the principled Ojukwu began to reinforce his men from the south to return home from all parts of Kivuki.
It was like men on the rampage to withdraw their services from where they have worked all their lives to make ends meet. This call from the one they perceived to be their leader is a clarion call and must be obeyed before one becomes the prey.
Luckily, the secret detail did not leak to the ears of the side that was perceived as the enemy. The men from the south began to retreat, they sent their families back home, one after the other. And before you knew it, the whole northern part of Kivuki had crumbled.
This is because the entire northern space was held up in economic prosperity by the southerners who dwelled there.
Ajeh, the owner and originator of a textile factory in Oron, a state in the north that was known for manufacturing the highest number of textile materials in Kivuki has made plans to relocate his factory to somewhere in the south.
"Oga(boss), going down to the south will increase our running cost and plunder the company's profit". Maleek interjected.
At the company's board meeting where Ajeh announced the intention of relocation Lumba textile company to Emuren in the south, his decision met a stumbling block from his northern employers who were comparing running such a company in the south where raw materials are scarce. But Ajeh has made up his mind and nothing is going to make him change that.
I have considered the cost and I am ready to bear any consequences that may come as a result. Ajeh replied to them.
Before President Yakubu could understand what was going on, the civil service had been plundered and a great vacuum of experts was witnessed in nearly all the sectors. His only option was to ensure that the south was cut off completely. He quickly asked the military to be stationed at the borders.
As if that was not enough, the only bridge that links the south to the north was detached.
Ajeh and other men and families who have left Kivuki started having doubts that Ojukwu would solve the unprecedented responsibilities on his shoulders.
The very first time Ojukwu would address his kinsmen on air, it was a touching but inspirational speech. Whoever had put up that speech, did a creative job.
He first started to tell them the plenty of luxuries they have as a nation and how they can become the next big brother of the nations of the world.
What really busted the bubbles of everyone was how he planned to make this new nation to become the envy of her neighbours.
This revolution is the first of its kind in the whole universe. Kivuki land now seemed empty because the people weren't getting the dividends of democracy from the government. They began to move to the south which now smelled like a safe haven for them.
Ojukwu staged a war on the agricultural sector. He made sure that every vacant land was cultivated. By doing so, the southern Kuvukiland started to export her excess food to neighbouring countries. The evil imy became so buoyant. There were jobs for every able-bodied man especially in the farms.
After several years, Ojukwu had become stricken in age. He decided to step aside even though the people wanted him to continue leading them. He opined that he groomed enough people to take charge of the administration of the nation.
