Tunde was known in his town for asking too many questions. One evening, while chasing a strange glowing bird into the forest, he stumbled upon something unbelievable—a hidden village surrounded by tall, ancient trees.
At first, everything looked normal. People walked around, children played, and elders sat under huts. But something felt… off. Tunde noticed a broken pot slowly fixing itself. A woman poured water from a cup back into a jug without touching it. Confused, he watched closely—things weren’t moving forward, they were moving backward.
A young girl named Simi approached him. “You’re not from here, are you?” she asked.
Tunde shook his head. “What is this place?”
“It’s a village where time goes backward,” she explained. “We grow younger every day.”
Tunde was shocked. “So… no one grows old?”
Simi smiled sadly. “No. We forget everything instead.”
As days passed, Tunde realized the truth. People slowly lost their memories. Friends forgot each other. Parents forgot their children. Even Simi began to forget Tunde.
Desperate, Tunde searched for a way out. The glowing bird appeared again, leading him back to the forest path. Before leaving, he looked at Simi one last time.
“Who are you?” she asked him softly.
With a heavy heart, Tunde stepped out of the village.
Back home, time moved normally again—but Tunde never forgot the place where time flowed backward… even if they had forgotten him.
