When I was younger, there was an evening prayer gathering that I usually attended close to my house. It was a small group, but it meant a lot to me and to many people in the neighborhood. We gathered together almost every evening to pray, sing, and spend time with one another. It was always a peaceful moment after a long day.
What made it even more special was that every year we celebrated an anniversary of the gathering. We did this for about thirteen years. Each anniversary was always exciting because we planned different activities to make the day special. Everyone in the group would contribute ideas, and we worked together to make it beautiful.
During the anniversary, we usually organized many things. We performed small drama presentations that carried important lessons about life and faith. Some people prepared short speeches or shared encouraging words. We also had singing sessions where we sang different songs together. Sometimes there was dancing too, and everyone joined with joy and laughter. These moments brought us closer like a family.
The preparation for the anniversary was also part of the fun. We practiced the dramas, rehearsed the songs, and helped decorate the place where we gathered. Even the younger ones were given small roles so that everyone could feel included. There was always excitement in the air as the day of the celebration came closer.
I was not very good at acting drama. but there was a certain times that my presence is needed. they really went through a lot because of me actually, that makes my heart beat each time I think about my part I thought I will not be able but when the drama started it was very successful, I was even amazed.
Those memories are very special to me. Whenever I remember them, they make me smile. They were simple moments, but they were filled with happiness, unity, and love. We learned many things during those gatherings. We learned how to pray together, how to support one another, and how to work as a team.
As time went on, life began to change. Many of us grew older and became busy with school, work, and other responsibilities. Slowly, the evening prayer gathering stopped, and we no longer meet the way we used to.
Even though the gathering is no longer happening, I am very grateful for it. It shaped part of who I am today. The lessons, friendships, and memories will always stay in my heart. It was a beautiful season of life that I will never forget.
[ Thank you very much for stopping by]
