The Guy
The man was about to go out that night. He didn't like to do it, but evidently it was necessary; he had that clear need that pushed him to that decision. With nothing else to do, he prepared himself as he always did, almost an innate ritual perfected for a long time.
What had happened with that girl the day before, made him take matters into his own hands and decide to do it without delay. He prepared himself with meticulous austerity; he took his jeans and put them on; the black jacket was next, but he could not forget the most important thing...
He took the object with which he would fulfill his desire: that metallic object, shiny and so necessary. His anxiety for that moment made his mind betray him, however he had to keep calm. It was not the first time, but it seemed as if it was.
He left the place after a while, he went to the street in that thick darkness, where the city became stranger and more dangerous. He adored that nighttime, captured in the whole firmament. He smiled and took a cab; he was going straight to meet his destiny.
He told the driver to take him to the indicated address. The driver showed his best smile, combined with a thick mustache and some gray hair that stood out from the black of the hair. A song was playing on the radio, it was a song from the eighties, which brought back pleasant memories; a time when his life was simple and without many setbacks.
The driver's voice brought him back to reality, he opened his eyes and looking at him, asked him about the cost of the ride. The driver did the math and gave him the price; the man took some crumpled bills out of his pocket and paid him.
He got out of the vehicle and looked at the place he went to of his own free will. He looked at the metallic object and put it in his pocket, again he looked at the place. Those letters stuck in his retina: "The red cat bar", he took a breath and decided to go after what he had gone to look for, only this way he would calm that anguish that was tormenting him.
He entered and suddenly he saw everything dark, some dim lights timidly illuminated the surrounding darkness. Almost gropingly he looked for a place to sit down. His calculating and at times cold personality made him think of an infallible plan to commit his act.
The man asked for a beer to the bartender, who with great agility and speed gave the man what he wanted; the bitter liquid went down his throat, which made the man shudder with pleasure. The large mouthfuls as he ingested the liquid, little by little made him lose his reasoning.
For a moment he almost forgot why he was in that place. He shook his head and got up quickly to go to the bathroom. In the toilet, he drank some water and shook his head to come to his senses. Back to his five senses, he returned to his seat and waited.
After an hour, the man finally saw the girl; he had waited so long for this moment. The adrenaline from the alcohol triggered his reactions and he set out to carry out the mission he had been planning for so long. The girl went out to do her dance, while the drunken man waited for the moment to commit the act.
Music was playing and thunderous melodies filled the dark place. The screams were getting louder and louder, and the men, ecstatic for the dancing girl, applauded in unison for the great spectacle. The man looked for the right moment and jumping into the dance floor with decision, he caught the girl...
Everything in the bar was in chaos, objects were flying left and right. The security officers intervened, capturing the man who had caused the disorder. The girl was screaming for him to be released and not to be harmed. When everything calmed down, the man looked at the girl, while taking the key out of his pocket, and said: "You forgot the key in the lock. You had promised not to do it again". The girl smiled and winked flirtatiously at him, "Thank you. He,he, he, he".
