"Hi, I'm Kenneth, nice to meet you. What I'm about to tell you is a love story unlike any other. It's one I came to by chance, what you might call a happenstance because I would never in a million years have thought that being at that location at that very moment would change my life as much as it did.
What seems like just another night in Ekowe for the young couple, Emma and Jason has turned out to be a night like no other. They get to sit by the famous Kenneth Kowalski, the designer of almost all luxury automobiles in the world.
Kenneth is a very simple man. They were surprised how they tracked him down to such a small town like this and even more surprised by how they were received by him and his beautiful wife who's a native of the community.
"Sorry I took so long folks. Had to help out a little to set up the fires. Been a helluva week with the floods coming in and trying to get the wife's family out of here before it really gets messy but they just won't budge.
"Any ho. Have you two heard about the spirit of Ekowe?"
"Yeah, I heard a bit about it at the hotel but I just took it like another tale", Emma said just before taking a sip of her beer.
"You best believe it isn't just another tale. My nephew and niece left here a couple of years ago and they wouldn't shut up about how they felt a certain tingling in their boned when they met a certain someone.
"Crazy part is they both came here broken a beat. They just wanted to heal but in 2 or 3 weeks they found themselves swooning in love. I personally thought they were messing with me so the moment I got a leave from those motors, I took the trip here to experience some peace.
"The point at which I found that peace, was also when I found my wife, Peace..."
"That's cliche though", Jason said as he and Emma chuckled.
"Yeah, I thought so too," Kenneth said with a smile, "but that's exactly what it was. I found peace when I found Peace. Wanna hear exactly how it happened?"
"Yeah, we've got all night", replied Jason.
"So, I had been roaming this community for like a week. On one particular day, I found a little diversion made from the river into a compound so I followed the diversion to see where it would take me.
"I followed it until I got to a fence. I was feeling adventurous so I climbed over it. Yeah, it's trespassing but if they didn't want trespassers they probably should have built it higher. I kept trailing this tiny stream until I found a garden covered by trees and that's when I saw that beauty in a swimsuit inside a little pond.
"She was so pretty I just sat and watched her swim peacefully. I was feeling lucky so I showed up again 2 days later at the same hour but that day I got caught coz of some stupid spider that got on my neck.
"She saw me and rather than get bad, she invited me over and that's when I began to truly fall in love with that goddess. I found out she was the daughter of the chief and she only came to the community in between her jobs.
"That beautiful local turned out to be a tech genius who needed to clear her head before getting into any major task.
"I stayed a while longer and the rest is history. It's been 2 years now and we only come here when we need to get a clear head between jobs."
"But 3 love stories doesn't exactly make the spirit of Ekowe a real thing though."
"No doubt but all I can say is watch, listen and enjoy the show while you're here. I get that you're married already but open your mind to the possibilities that your marriage could be happier and watch it happen."
Emma and Jason spent 3 more days at the Ekowe community before they left. Just before they got on the boat, they looked at each other and within their hearts, they could feel a tingling and a spark they thought they had lost in the last 5 years of their marriage.
This was a new beginning for them and they both knew it had a lot to do with the Spirit of the land.
