Yesterday I had a wake up call. It came in the form of a podcast. The most recent THC episode to be exact. The interview was about the technocracy in power using artificial intelligence (alongside the information we willingly put into our phones) to map our minds. On a spiritual level, I am not sure if mapping a human mind is even possible.
Still .... it had me contemplating about all energy I put into my online projects, including this blog.
Thinking about how much information my cell phone has about my life made me wonder if I am actually living more of my life online than offline.
And even if I do not believe a soul can be replicated based on the date on my phone or gathered from my online identity, I am making an effort to create more in real life.
((no more doom scrolling. I am bullet journaling now))
There is dilemma. As a content creator/artist I have a desire to share a big part of my crafts with the online community.
I want to inspire! I want to receive compliments! I want to be able to make some money as an artist, money that I put back into my arts and crafts!
And as a witch, I want to oppose the stereotype that witches use magick to manipulate others and call in wealth that doesn't rightful belong to them. I want to share how I use my personal practice to spread beauty in the world.
So, no, I will not be sharing less here as Calendula Craft. But, I will be sharing my process of moving through the muddy waters of living a balanced life as an artist who expects some sort of compensation for my art and a witch of the woods.

Herbs, books, and positive predictions can be used to build a better life. In these weekly posts I share aspects of my journey as a pagan & witch. These are the aspects of my craft that you are allowed to see, anyway.
