Assalam-o-Alaikum and hello to my #hive family. Welcome to another blog. I hope you are all doing well and having a good time. I am also doing pretty well. Today, I am going to talk about an interesting topic. This topic is specifically for Muslims around the world. The topic is Virtues and Blessings of Ramadan and Its Effects on Health.
What Is Ramadan
Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims around the world. Muslims fast from dawn to sunset in this holy month. It is a spiritual festival for Muslims. Fasting is not only a spiritual act of worship for Muslims, but it also has many physical and mental health benefits. In this blog, I will explain each and every aspect of this holy month, its health benefits, and other things.
Ramadan is not only a month of worship for Muslims, but it is also the month in which our holy book, the Quran Pak, was revealed to our Prophet (PBUH). This holy month teaches us forgiveness and mercy. It also teaches patience, discipline, and self-control.
In Ramadan, we get plenty of health benefits. Our gut health improves a lot. Our digestion becomes better. Fasting helps control blood sugar and helps the body remove toxins. Our mental health also improves with fasting. When I say mental health, I mean that fasting increases our focus. People who have problems with fatty liver and are overweight can also benefit from Ramadan.
If we want to improve our physical as well as mental health, Ramadan gives us a great opportunity to do this. If we want to stay energetic in Ramadan, we should eat protein-rich food. We should take boiled eggs, yogurt, and milk in Sehri. We should avoid fried food at Iftar. Most of us do not take full advantage of Ramadan because we eat samosas, pakoras, and sugary foods at Iftar. Instead of improving our health, these foods harm our health. We should stay hydrated in Ramadan by drinking plenty of water at Sehri and Iftar.
I love this holy month. I offer my prayers five times a day. I recite the Holy Quran with translation from one of my favorite apps, Islam 360. I recite plenty of Durood Pak during Ramadan. The pictures below were taken while I was in a mosque for prayer.
I start my Iftar with dates, and then I drink my favorite orange juice. Then I eat different kinds of fruits like bananas, apples, and guavas, etc. After that, we offer our Maghrib prayer. Then all the family members sit in one place and have our dinner. These pictures were taken before Iftar.
Ramadan is a great opportunity to improve our physical health. If we want to take full advantage of this holy month, we should control our eating at Sehri and Iftar.
Ramadan is not only a month of worship for Muslims, but it also helps us improve our physical as well as mental health. Some diseases may be treated during Ramadan while fasting.
