Eid al-Adha is near and Muslims are buying halal animals for sacrifice. I also went to the livestock fair on Sunday and Friday. When I arrived at the livestock fair, there were thousands of goats, sheep, and goats there. I also wanted to buy an animal for sacrifice, but when I asked the prices to buy the sacrificial animals, the prices were very high and each animal was being sold for millions of rupees, but I did not have enough space. I returned from the Sunday market without buying any animal, but there were all kinds of animals in the cattle market. There were animals of all weights. There were beautiful animals and any animal that Muslims like. Eid al-Adha, which we also call the Eid of Sacrifice and we also call it the Big Eid, every Muslim remembers the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) on this Eid because this Eid is followed in the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and halal animals are sacrificed in the way of Allah and then the meat of the animals is distributed to the poor, relatives, and the person who is sacrificing keeps it for himself. In this way, after sacrificing the animal, the meat of the animal was divided into three parts.
On this Eid, when Muslims sacrifice and distribute the meat, then the meat that comes to the sacrificer's share, he cooks different dishes from this meat and then feeds it to his friends and relatives. Similarly, Eid lasts for three days and friends visit each other's houses and meet and also congratulate them on the Eid of Sacrifice. This day of Eid also encourages us to show love, sincerity, brotherhood and help each other. Sacrificing animals is not just for this purpose, but the purpose is only to remember the sacrifice that Allah's Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) made on the command of Allah and to follow this Sunnah. And whoever makes all these sacrifices, Muslims do it only for the pleasure of Allah. Some buy a big animal, some buy a small animal, but the purpose of buying it is only to sacrifice it for the pleasure of Allah. And thus, if any person, rich or poor, sacrifices to show people, his sacrifice will never be accepted. Showing off is never accepted. Even if you do whatever you do, Do it with pure intention, honestly, sincerely and only for the pleasure of Allah. Just as we say that if you are helping a poor person, you will help the poor person for the pleasure of Allah and not to show people. If you do any good deed to show people, if you do it with pride and arrogance in front of you, it will never be accepted from you. Always sacrifice with humility and modesty and this is the philosophy of this sacrifice.
You are also seeing beautiful animals in these pictures. How beautiful are sheep and goats? They look very cute. People raise them with great love. Some even keep them in their homes for the whole year. So, when Eid al-Adha, the Eid of Sacrifice, comes, they will sell these animals and make some profit. Similarly, whenever a person goes to the livestock market, there are also traders there. We call traders those people who buy animals, raise them for the whole year and then bring the livestock to the market so that people can buy them and make a profit. But one thing I am writing here with great regret is that inflation has increased a lot in our country, Pakistan, and the poor and middle class people no longer have the power and income to buy animals for sacrifice because the prices of animals were in millions of rupees, and in our country, the average income of a poor person is It is from 200 to 300 dollars. I am talking about the income of those who are rich, but the income of most of the working class is around 150 dollars, which is very low, and they sacrifice in this income.
This was a small diary that I spent time in the cattle market and then I told you about the conditions there and the prices of halal animals and then you can see the pictures of how cute and beautiful the sheep and goats are. I would like to give this message through this writing that in the life we are living, our lifestyle, our customs, our religion, our culture play a very important role, but we should always have one thing in mind whenever we do any work, whatever mission we have, that is, love for humanity, love for people and make our character good. Never do anything that makes us arrogant and makes us feel inferior to our other brothers. Rather, as Muslims, we believe that whatever work we do, whatever good we do, whatever good we do, help the poor or whatever action we take, our every action should be for the good of humanity, it should be for the pleasure of Allah. We should have humility in us, they should be all sincere and if we are working hard, Work hard honestly, do not cheat anyone, do not make your success possible by fraud, but work hard, follow the principles of justice, honesty and only for the sake of Allah's pleasure. We should do everything good. We should worship Allah. We should do everything for Allah so that Allah is pleased with us because He is the owner of this universe, He is the creator, and if we are good people, this world will be good. I hope you liked my words today.
