Hey Everyone ππ»
Today I'm sharing these pictures of fire flames with you all that I clicked a few days ago when the Navratri was going on.
Navratri is a hindu festival that celebrates Maa Durga, the goddess. It's a 9 day festival in which we worship the nine forms of Maa Durga. On the 9th day, the Hawan is performed and little girls are offered prasad and worshipped as Maa Durga. So these pictures of fire are from the Hawan held on that day in our home.
At that time I just randomly clicked a few pictures but when I later noticed them, I found such beautiful patterns in the flames. The different colours appear in it and the glow is fascinating.
I love to capture nature's elements and observe their patterns. So I try to capture fire, water, sky, sun, etc. Earlier I used to be more curious about nature's close-up photography. I used to explore how different elements looks through the camera lens. Sometimes clicking the pictures of dried trees, branches, sometimes clicking water drops, leaves, dew drops, spider net. But now, it's like the same curiosity is missing. So I tried to capture the fire to revive my earlier passion.
The Hindu mythology believes in five elements from which the body is made up of- Fire, Water, Air, Sky, Earth.
It is said that the body starts with these five elements and ultimately ends in these elements. We worship all these five elements as a gesture of gratitude. One of the purest elements is the fire. It has a lot of value in our culture. From small festival rituals to marriage ceremonies, fire ( the Agni Devta) is holy to us.
I like how our ancestors made every element of nature as worshipable because they knew how important they are to us. Worshipping them is a kind of showing respect and gratitude to them. It's our way of thanking them.
Hope you liked the pictures π.
