I accompanied my daughter to her preschool act for Mother's Day, she sang me a beautiful song with her classmates that I carry in my heart.
In the days before the preparations, she informed me that she should go dressed in a flower dress and that she would like me to also wear a flower outfit.
In these photos you can clearly see how both of us reflect the world as we feel and the complicity between us to dress to succeed
I helped her choose her dress and she helped me choose mine and we both agreed that these flower pants would look great.
In her case, it was not so easy to decide because I wanted her to use another and I could not convince her, finally it was her choice, in exchange for using light blue stockings, because she did not want to use any pantyhose because "they itch her".
And that's what parenting is all about with her, guiding and negotiating, with the choice of her outfits, as she herself calls them from the age of 5, it is the moment when I exercise more patience, understanding and authority at the same time.
What awaits me is not easy because she will go to first grade and in her new school they do not use uniforms, so I will have to exercise that parenting daily where she is able to make her own decisions about her clothing without losing that I mentioned earlier, my role as guidance and authority to guide her in a healthy learning.
I really like being a mom, I find myself in the place I want to be at this moment, but I'm not going to stay here and I find myself creating the place I want to be in the future, believing and creating while I'm happy on the way with my children as my main teachers.

I am sure that in the future I will see this girl very well dressed and fashionable but above all happy and totally enough for herself.

Acompañé a mi hija a su acto del preescolar por el día de las madres, me cantó con sus compañeros una canción preciosa que llevo en mi corazón.
En los preparativos de días antes me informó que debía ir vestida con un vestido de flores y que le gustaría que yo también vistiera un outfit de flores.
En estas fotos puede verse claramente como ambas reflejamos al mundo como nos sentimos y la complicidad que hubo entre ambas para vestirnos para triunfar
Yo la ayudé a ella a escoger su vestido y ella me ayudó a escoger a mi y las dos estuvimos de acuerdo en que este pantalón floreado quedaría muy bien.
En su caso, no fue tan fácil decidir porque yo quería que usara otro y no pude convencerla, finalmente fue su elección, a cambio de que usará las medias azul claro, porque ella no quería usar ningunas medias panty porque "le pican".
Y así mismo, de eso se trata toda la crianza con ella, orientar y negociar, con la escogencia de sus outfits, como ella misma les llama a sus atuendos desde los 5 años, es el momento donde más hago ejercicios de paciencia, comprensión y autoridad a la vez.
Lo que me espera no es fácil porque va a pasar a primer grado y en su nueva escuela no usan uniforme, así que me tocará a diario ejercitar esa crianza en la que ella sea capaz de tomar sus decisiones sobre su vestuario sin perder eso que mencioné anteriormente, mi papel de orientación y autoridad para guiarla en un aprendizaje sano.
Ser mamá me gusta mucho, me encuentro en el lugar que quiero estar en este momento, pero no me voy a quedar aquí y me encuentro creando el lugar en el que quiero estar en el futuro, creer y crear mientras soy feliz en el camino con mis hijos como mis principales maestros.
"Fake it until You Make" en palabras de Freddy Vega: "miente y finge hasta que lo hagas" realmente tiene un sentido poderoso para mí, y solo es otra forma genial de decir creer es crear y que hay que creer para ver y no al contrario.
Estoy segura que en el futuro veré a esta niña muy bien vestida y fashion pero sobre todo feliz y totalmente suficiente para ella misma.
Elegir como nos mostramos al mundo va mucho más allá del outfit, pero cuando logramos hacer esta escogencia con consciencia del impacto la huella puede ser inolvidable.
