Hello to everyone in Hive's Red Carpet community! Today I'm joining in on October's theme, "Dark Specter", where we get to show off our darkest garments. I must say that I am very excited because this month has a theme that I definitely love. And although not all my clothes are black (for the sake of practicality and diversity) I did choose some clothes that fit the theme. So today I bring you some pictures I took with my partner to show some of my favorite outfits that can be categorized as gothic. Let's start with it.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Hive's Red Carpet! El día de hoy me uno a la temática del mes de octubre, "Espectro Oscuro", dónde debemos mostrarnos nuestras prendas más oscuras. Debo decir que estoy muy entusiasmada porque este mes tiene una temática que a mí, en definitiva, me encanta. Y aunque no toda mi ropa es negra (por cuestión de practicidad y diversidad) si que elegí algunas prendas que se acomodan a la temática. Así que hoy les traigo algunas fotografías que realice junto a mi pareja para mostrar algunos de mis outfits favoritos que puede catalogarse de tipo gótico. Comencemos con ello.
The first outfit I wore was a black corset, an ankle length black skirt with a leg cut, a metal choker and steel rings. This is definitely a style that I love because corsets always tend to shape our figure and together with the skirt, they give the illusion of being a complete outfit. I like this look because it reminds me of Morticia Addams from The Addams Family. She is iconic with her floor length black dress, long sleeves and lots of lace. I stress though, this is not a costume. I would perfectly go out in it except that it becomes uncomfortable after a while to be dressed like this. I use it mostly for photos and videos.
El primer outfit que utilice fue el de un corset negro, una falda negra hasta los tobillos y con corte en la pierna, una gargantilla de metal y argollas de acero. Este es sin duda un estilo que me encanta porque los corsets siempre tienden a dar forma a nuestra figura y unido a la falda, dan la ilusión de ser un traje completo. Me gusta este look porque me recuerda a Morticia Addams de la Familia Addams. Ella es icónica con su vestido negro hasta el suelo, mangas largas y mucho encaje. Aunque recalco que, este no es un disfraz. Perfectamente saldría con el sino fuera porque llega a ser incómodo, luego de un rato, estar vestida así. Lo utilizo sobre todo para fotografías y videos.
In the following outfit I am wearing again a black corset with blue lace, a black shawl, the same black skirt, a black choker with little stones, the steel rings and a hook with blue rhinestones. I like this outfit because of the blue lace, not everything should be completely black and the use of certain colors make a good complement to the tone and stand out much more. I wanted it to look a little sweeter and less heavy than the previous one; the messy updo, the shawl that softens everything with its fall and the accessories, help me to achieve that effect.
En el siguiente outfit estoy utilizando nuevamente un corset negro con encaje azul, un chal negro, la misma falda negra, una choker negro con piedritas, las argollas de acero y una gancheta con pedrería azul. Me agrada este conjunto por el encaje azul, no todo debe ser completamente negro y el uso de ciertos colores hacen un buen complemento del tono y destacan mucho más. Quise que luciera un poco más dulce y menos pesado que el anterior; el recogido desprolijo, el chal que suaviza todo con su caída y los accesorios, me ayudan a lograr ese efecto.
The last outfit I bring you here is this black and gray striped dress with horizontal direction, without necklace, with my rings and the same hook of the previous outfit. This dress (as you can imagine), is practically the one I never take off. It is super comfortable, fresh and simple. Characteristics that I like in a garment. So I wear it every day. And although it's not completely dark it does fit the theme. I usually combine it with other accessories and depending on that changes the style a bit.
El último outfit que les traigo por aquí es el de este este vestido a rayas negras y grises con dirección horizontal, sin collar, con mis argollas y la misma gancheta del anterior outfit. Este vestido (cómo podrán imaginar), es prácticamente el que nunca me quito de encima. Es súper cómodo, fresco y sencillo. Características que a mí me agradan en una prenda de vestir. Así que suelo usarlo diario. Y aunque no es completamente oscuro si se adapta a la temática. Suelo combinarlo con otros accesorios y dependiendo de eso cambia un poco el estilo.
Finally my friends, this has been my participation in the October theme. Although I didn't bring so many outfits that are everyday outfits (like shirts, blouses, sweaters) but they are outfits that I use for most of the publications that I do here in Hive. You can see it in some of my videos where I cover songs. Besides that's my favorite style. However that doesn't mean that I don't dare to use other garments, because as I said above, it's not always appropriate to dress this way and a big factor of it is practicality. Finalmente amigos míos, esta a sido mi participación en la temática del mes de octubre. Si bien no traje tantos outfits que sean de diario (como camisas, blusas, suéteres) si que son conjuntos que utilizo para la gran mayoría de las publicaciones que realizo aquí en Hive. Pueden verlo en algunos de mis videos donde realizo covers de canciones. Además de que ese es mi estilo predilecto. Sin embargo eso no quiere decir que no me atrevo a utilizar otras prendas, porque como dije arriba, no siempre es adecuado vestir de esta forma y un gran factor de ello es la practicidad.
