Pasé algunos días buscando inspiración. Si bien, no soy ninguna experta de la moda y el Makeup, pero me gusta estudiar y hay tips que he ido aprendiendo en el camino. Por ejemplo: cuando me casé, la modista me dijo que si mis aretes eran grandes o largo y mi vestido con piedras o brillantes, no hacía falta utilizar un collar y Kim Kardashian, al igual que muchas estrellas de Hollywood lo confirman. También decía Coco Chanel que un toque de rojo, así sea un labial rojo, le daba ese estilo glamuroso a tu look por más sencillo que este se viera.
Fui viendo estilos, pero luego me topé justo con la frase inicial y creo que no hay nadie mejor para decirlo, que Coco Chanel, una mujer empoderada que creía en sí misma. Así que cuando leí esta frase dejé de buscar en quien inspirarme y me inspiré en mí misma, haciéndole honores al nombre que me dan hace unos años en la blockchain "Simplemente Eli", siendo simplemente yo, no por simpleza de poco, si no por ser esa mujer capaz de brillar con luz propia sin opacar a los demás.
I spent a few days looking for inspiration. I'm no fashion and make-up expert, but I like to study and there are tips I've learned along the way. For example: when I got married, the dressmaker told me that if my earrings were big or long and my dress had stones or rhinestones, I didn't need a necklace and Kim Kardashian, as well as many Hollywood stars confirm this. Coco Chanel also said that a touch of red, even a red lipstick, gave that glamorous style to your look no matter how simple it looked.
I was looking at styles, but then I came across the opening sentence and I think there is no one better to say it than Coco Chanel, an empowered woman who believed in herself. So when I read this phrase I stopped looking for inspiration and I was inspired by myself, honouring the name I was given a few years ago on the blockchain "Simplemente Eli", being simply me, not for simplicity's sake, but for being that woman capable of shining with her own light without overshadowing others.

Mientras me maquillaba (con la ayuda de unas brochas nuevas y sin saber usarlas de manera correcta aún), me detuve a observar a esa mujer en el espejo y me dije: "Eli eres tú, siempre has Sido tú" y realmente esa esencia no se pierde. Recordé que me vestía y maquillaba así, pero sin el conocimiento en Makeup que he ido adquiriendo durante estos dos meses. Recordé que antes de la pandemia había asistido a un evento con un Makeup y ese mismo outfit, así que me sentí muy cómoda y en especial muy yo.
While I was doing my make-up (with the help of some new brushes and without knowing how to use them correctly yet), I stopped to look at that woman in the mirror and I said to myself: "Eli, you are you, you have always been you" and that essence really doesn't get lost. I remembered that I used to dress and make up like that, but without the knowledge in Makeup that I have been acquiring during these two months. I remembered that before the pandemic I had attended an event with a Makeup and that same outfit, so I felt very comfortable and especially very me.

Cuando decides ser tú misma, cuando decides brillar con tu propia luz, no hace falta llenarte tanto de brillo o belleza exterior, porque si tienes la actitud y además eres una buena persona, tu luz irradia dónde quiera que llegas y las miradas se giran hacia ti para observarte. La seguridad se determina en creer en nosotras mismas, en saber que somos valiosas, elegantes, hermosas y con mucho glamour.
La sociedad nos ha hecho creer que si creemos en nosotras, es malo. Confunden el creer en nosotras con el creerse más que otros y no es así. Por otra parte nos han hecho sentir cierto rechazo cuando nos hablan de amor propio, de empoderamiento y cuando nos dicen que somos capaces, porque se ha normalizado ver eso como un simple mensaje motivacional, cuando es solo la verdad de la grandeza que existe en cada individuo.
When you decide to be yourself, when you decide to shine your own light, you don't need to fill yourself with so much glitter or external beauty, because if you have the attitude and you are a good person, your light radiates wherever you go and eyes turn to you to look at you. Confidence is determined by believing in ourselves, in knowing that we are valuable, elegant, beautiful and glamorous.
Society has made us believe that if we believe in ourselves, it is bad. They confuse believing in ourselves with believing that we are better than others, and that is not the case. On the other hand, we have been made to feel a certain rejection when they talk to us about self-esteem, empowerment and when they tell us that we are capable, because it has been normalised to see this as a simple motivational message, when it is only the truth of the greatness that exists in each individual.
Muchas veces sufrí por ser delgada, la sociedad me juzgaba, se burlaban y me decían que debía engordar. Luego, engordé un poco y esa misma sociedad que me dijo un día que lo hiciera, ahora me criticaba por tener unos kilos demás. Entonces me miré y me dije: sé tú misma, si estás feliz siendo como eres, si te sientes bien con tu físico porque aceptas que los años no pasan en vano y que las curvas que tienes son parte de tu belleza exterior, ya no importa lo que diga la sociedad, ahora importa lo que pienses tu.
Para este reto pidieron un Makeup social glam inspirado en una noche de gala y eso realicé. Ojos con colores tierra y dorados, labios rojos, aretes grandes, cabello suelto y outfit negro con detalles dorados. Una vez más este reto me hace sentir feliz, pero luego algo frustrada, al no tener quien me tome las fotografías y ser de madrugada, pero en medio de todo prueba dije "vamos a hacerlo", pues mi esfuerzo y dedicación lo valen, pues yo lo valgo. Es por ello que admiro a esa mujer empoderada, esa que es capaz de ser integral, la que aprende lo que no sabe y lo logra, la que lucha por sus sueños, la que no se rinde, esa que sabe lo bella que es, porque cree en sí misma.
Many times I suffered for being thin, society judged me, they made fun of me and told me I should put on weight. Then I put on a bit of weight and that same society that told me to do it one day, now criticised me for having a few extra kilos. Then I looked at myself and said to myself: be yourself, if you are happy being the way you are, if you feel good about your physique because you accept that the years don't pass in vain and that the curves you have are part of your outer beauty, it doesn't matter what society says, now it matters what you think.
For this challenge they asked for a social glam make-up inspired by a gala night and that's what I did. Eyes with earthy and golden colours, red lips, big earrings, loose hair and black outfit with golden details. Once again this challenge makes me feel happy, but then a little frustrated, as I had no one to take the pictures and it was in the early hours of the morning, but in the midst of all the trials I said "let's do it", because my effort and dedication are worth it, because I am worth it. That is why I admire the empowered woman, the one who is capable of being integral, the one who learns what she doesn't know and achieves it, the one who fights for her dreams, the one who doesn't give up, the one who knows how beautiful she is, because she believes in herself.
