✨INITIATIVE OF THE MONTH | NEW YEAR, NEW COLOR ✨[ESP/ENG]

Holaa, comunidad de fashionistas! El día de hoy me sumo a la iniciativa del mes "Nuevo año, nuevo color", la cual tiene como protagonista el color blanco. En lo personal, considero que el blanco es un color muy versátil, pues cómo el color negro, combina con todo y siempre esta presente en las prendas básicas del closet.

Últimamente lo he usado mucho, pues siento que combina perfecto con mi tono de piel morena y a mi percepción es un color muy elegante y veraniego; es por ello que hoy les mostraré un look que diseñé y confeccioné para mi graduación de la Universidad, en el cual, el color blanco es el protagonista. Espero les guste mucho!

Hello, fashionistas community! Today I join the initiative of the month "New year, new color", which has as protagonist the color white. Personally, I consider white a very versatile color, because like black, it combines with everything and is always present in the basic garments of the closet.

Lately I have been using it a lot, because I feel that it combines perfectly with my brown skin tone and to my perception it is a very elegant and summery color; that is why today I will show you a look that I designed and made for my graduation from the University, in which, the white color is the protagonist. I hope you like it a lot!

BOCETO

Ya conocen la forma base de todos mis bocetos y en este caso fue prácticamente los mismo de siempre, solo que no quise complicarme la vida e hice uno muy simple comparado con lo he hecho anteriormente.

You already know the basic shape of all my sketches and in this case it was practically the same as always, I just didn't want to complicate my life and made a very simple one compared to what I have done before.

El siguiente paso, el de diseñar el vestuario siempre es mi favorito. Empecé por la parte de abajo, pues tenía claro que quería un pantalón para la ocasión; quería que fuera algo fresco y que me sirviera para el día y para la noche, pues el grado era a las 4pm, pero acababa un poco tarde.

La parte de arriba me llevó mas tiempo por obvias razones, pues realmente no tenía ni idea de que hacer... No sabía con que combinar el pantalón. Tenia presente que quería un look relajado y por ende, la parte de arriba no debía ser muy elaborada, por ello opte por añadirle un croptop.

Al principio no sabía si ponerle o no mangas, pero seguí con mi tónica de no mostrar los brazos (no suelo mostrarlos mucho, siempre me cubro con una chaqueta) y por ello decidí hacerle unas grandes mangas anchas.

The next step, designing the wardrobe is always my favorite. I started with the bottom, as I knew I wanted a pair of pants for the occasion; I wanted it to be something cool and that would work for both day and night, as the degree was at 4pm, but I was finishing a little late.

The top took me longer for obvious reasons, since I really had no idea what to do.... I didn't know what to pair the pants with. I had in mind that I wanted a relaxed look and therefore, the top should not be too elaborate, so I opted to add a crop top.

first I did not know whether to put sleeves or not, but I continued with my trend of not showing my arms (I do not usually show them much, I always cover them with a jacket) and therefore I decided to make some big wide sleeves.

Con respecto a zapatos y accesorios, estos fueron en tonos dorados y plateados, pues no soy de usar muchos colores llamativos en mi look; incluso, el maquillaje fue también en tonos neutros/tierra, porque para mi los colores neutros siempre son un buen acompañamiento para un look totalmente blanco.

Regarding shoes and accessories, these were in gold and silver tones, because I'm not one to use many flashy colors in my look; even, the makeup was also in neutral/earth tones, because for me neutral colors are always a good accompaniment to an all-white look.

CONFECCIÓN

Este es el look ya confeccionado y la verdad me gustó mucho el resultado porque le hace justicia a mi diseño inicial. Al principio no me tenía mucha fe a decir verdad pues, los pantalones para mi, son las prendas que llevan mas trabajo al momento de cortar y coser, y siempre estuvo el temor de cometer un error y echar a perder la tela. Con respecto a la tela, ocupe dos metros de un lino muy fino, pues en mi ciudad hace mucho calor y no valía la pena estar usando algo con lo que me sintiera incómoda.

This is the look already made and I really liked the result because it does justice to my initial design. At the beginning I didn't have much faith because, for me, pants are the garments that take more work at the time of cutting and sewing, and there was always the fear of making a mistake and spoil the fabric. Regarding the fabric, I used two meters of a very fine linen, because in my city it is very hot and it was not worth wearing something I would feel uncomfortable with.
