On top, this is a view of the borage I grew from seed in my garden.
It has a unique blossom where the petals turned pink after getting a tan from the hot sun the day before.
If you ever grow borage from seed, wait until the season gets hot. The plant grows very fast. Cold and wet weather tends to cause the plant to stress.
Borage is a very showy plant, and a beneficial companion plant anywhere in the garden.
Normally the borage flowers are florescent blue.
Borage is certainly not boring!
Over time, the flowers can change color slightly. When the old flowers expire, they are self-discarding, and replenished all season long with new flowers.
While I'm here, I thought I might as well post a photo bomb, and share all of the other beautiful flowers that have been blooming in my garden this week.
