Rollercoin describes itself as "the first mining simulator game online: gain real money while playing. Build your virtual data center and start mining now!". It's been around for more then three years now and, due to some major recent updates, it's rocketed back to one of the most talked about games in the Play2Earn scene. But is it worth your time and attention? That's the question I'm here to answer so strap in!
I've been building my mining room in RollerCoin for about six months now and, for the major of that time, things have been pretty much on auto pilot. The game has a complicated by understandable energy and production system that trips up a ton of new people. I've always thought that RollerCoin was a unique project mostly due to it paying out every 10 minutes, playing or not. As someone who was raised on faucets this always struck me as extremely powerful when scaled in any real way.
My humble miner room. Hard wood floors, an old broken TV, and kept at a constant 116 degrees
For a long time I involved with RollerCoin but considered it a back-burner project. All that changed with the release of the games first ever Season of quests: the Perfection Season.
I decided the drop the substantial 150 RLT ($150) on the season pass and, as you can see by my luxurious mining room, I fully leveled up the pass to get the MASSIVE +700% value for the cost. This rocketed me from just some jerk grinding out coins to a major player in the games top 1000 players.
One of the things that has me really enjoying this new meta is the new collection system, shown here:
This collection system in the game provides a flat +% per rare unique miner and, for the first time, is a real tangible reason to collect wide variety of miners. This goes far beyond wanting your miner room to look cool, I'm getting more than a 25% boost to my production due to my collection of diverse mining hardware. Neat!
RollerCoin is finishing it's first season now and we have every reason to expect Season 2 to to coming extremely quickly if not as soon as it ends. When games get new features like this it can be easy to rocket to the front of the pack by taking part in each season. I plan on doing this with not only RollerCoin but with dCrops as well.
I AM THE PUMPKIN KING, MUHUAHAHAHA!!
Mark my words! These passive production games are going to be massive successes and getting involved with them "early" is a huge opportunity for all of us players in the Play2Earn space. I drop those marks around "early" because, as mentioned, RollerCoin is three years old! But it's a growing projects and, if you don't want to be life behind, I suggest you hop on it's back!
To season 2 we go!!
