I just penned my fifth review in my Outsider Look at Hive series. This is an Outsider Look at GiftGiver.
The HIVE community has some phenomenal people who are contributing time and effort to make HIVE a success. HIVE is notoriously hard on new users.
@GiftGiver is making HIVE better in two ways. The group delegates HP to new users. They also have a fun demonstration project called a faucet. For the faucet, you enter your account name, verify that you are a human and press submit. The faucet will give new users a small amount of HP.
I ran the program and got 0.002 HP. Here is the transaction. HIVE allows tiny transactions. It is a fine example of low finance at its lowest.
I think that this basic faucet design would work great for a marketing campaign.
A campaign could work like the "Basic Attention Token." People would read an ad, press a button and get an award.
If I knew any marketers, I would create a program to run such campaigns.
GiftGiver issued a token with the symbol GIFT. They don't appear to be doing anything with it yet.
is a great example of an account working overtime to make HIVE a hospitable place for new users.
I got the picture from BigStockPhoto. I get one free picture a month!
